Jian Fan’s “Recruited as the CEO’s Wife”
Chapter One
A black luxury RV stopped in front of the Chuangchuang Enterprise’s gate.
“Mr. Huo, we’ve arrived,” the special assistant said respectfully.
“Hmm,” replied the man with a tall, muscular physique and looks like Pan An, in a cold tone.
The driver quickly got out of the car and opened the rear door for his master.
The midday sunlight poured into the air-conditioned RV the moment the door opened, and under the golden light, it further highlighted the icy aura emanating from the man inside.
He stood up straight and stepped out of the car confidently.
Huo Juren did not respond, simply striding with his long legs towards Chuangchuang Enterprise.
“He truly deserves his reputation as the cold-blooded CEO of the business world – he’s incredibly cold,” the business manager muttered.
As the reception room door opened, a tall and cold man walked in first, followed by two muscular men in black suits and matching sunglasses, clearly personal bodyguards.
The delicate receptionist – Nie Sifeng – immediately put on a proper smile, “Mr. Huo, hello, I’m the secretary of the vice president—”
Her words stopped mid-sentence, unable to continue. Because at that moment, Nie Sifeng clearly caught a glimpse of the visitor’s face – a face she absolutely despised!
At the same time, Huo Juren took in Nie Sifeng’s facial expression.
The business manager of Chuangchuang Enterprise, upon seeing the black RV arrive, immediately came forward.
“Mr. Huo, welcome,” he said, bowing slightly to show respect to this important guest.
The man called “Mr. Huo” had an extraordinarily handsome face, radiating a supreme and proud demeanor. His custom-made iron-gray tailored suit perfectly showcased his muscular physique.
His piercing black eyes quickly scanned the business manager, who in an instant felt like he was being stared at by the king of beasts, causing an involuntary shudder.
The business manager had met many business tycoons, but none had ever created such an intimidating presence in mere moments.
This Huo man… was truly extraordinary!
No wonder the Huo International under his leadership could stand toe-to-toe with Chuangchuang Enterprise in Taiwan. With such a commanding leadership, Huo International’s future seemed limitless.
“Mr. Huo, this way please,” the business manager smiled and bowed again.
In that instant, an image of an ice-cold beauty flashed through his mind.
A strong feeling suddenly swept over him. Huo Juren couldn’t distinguish exactly what this feeling was, only knowing it was triggered by Shao Pingxi – a woman who had betrayed him!
He wanted to see her! Immediately!
The reason? Revenge, of course!
Those who betrayed him would never have it easy! Shao Pingxi would be no exception!
If he hadn’t coincidentally encountered Shao Pingxi’s close friend Nie Sifeng, he might have almost forgotten about his revenge!
Although his mind was violently impacted by flame-like indescribable feelings, Huo Juren’s surface demeanor suddenly changed from his usual coldness. He raised an eyebrow and said, “Oh? Isn’t this Shao Pingxi’s close friend, Nie Sifeng?
“How could I cause her trouble? Have you forgotten? Ping Xi and I were passionately in love! I loved her, cherished her so much, how could I possibly cause her trouble?” Huo Juren looked as if he had been wrongly accused.
“You…” Nie Sifeng could no longer hold back!
This bad man who had hurt her good friend actually said he wanted to harass her – how could Nie Sifeng tolerate it any longer!
She raised her fist and aimed it directly at Huo Juren’s face. “You bastard, if I don’t beat you to death today, I’m not Nie Sifeng!”
Huo Juren stared directly at the furious Nie Sifeng, neither dodging nor avoiding, allowing her rage-filled heavy punch to land on his face that was more handsome than Pan An, a hint of a triumphant smile playing at the corner of his mouth.
When Nie Sifeng wanted to press her advantage, a sharp voice stopped her –
“What are you doing?”
Nie Sifeng looked toward the source of the voice and saw Qin Tianjun, who had just returned to the company.
Qin Tianjun did not believe Nie Sifeng would conflict with Huo Juren without reason – there must be something he did not know!
“I…” The moment she saw Qin Tianjun, Nie Sifeng’s reason, which had run far away, immediately returned to her body, and her hand gripping Huo Juren’s collar loosened.
Qin Tianjun strode over, separating Nie Sifeng and Huo Juren to prevent her emotions from flaring up again.
“Mr. Huo, I believe there was a misunderstanding just now,” Qin Tianjun calmly surveyed Huo Juren, harboring doubts in his heart.
“Misunderstanding? I don’t think so! Your company is known for being courteous to guests, but now that I’ve seen it, it’s truly ‘courteous’!”
Huo Juren wiped away the blood at the corner of his mouth with his hand. From his injuries, it was clear that Nie Sifeng’s punch in her fury was indeed not light.
“I reserve the right to legal recourse for this matter,” Huo Juren’s cold gaze shot directly at Nie Sifeng, who was still full of anger behind Qin Tianjun. “As for cooperation with your company, I think it’s best to discuss it after I recover and am in the mood and have the time!”
Huo Juren finished speaking and stood up, leaving with two bodyguards in a grand manner.
After leaving the startup enterprise, Huo Juren got into a black van and sped away, though his destination was not his company.
Huo Juren remained silent, his face cold, with low pressure filling the entire vehicle.
“Mr. Huo, we’ve arrived,” the driver in front immediately said respectfully as the car stopped.
Upon hearing this, Huo Juren raised his eyes sharply, with countless thoughts flashing in his eyes.
“Leave,” he uttered the command in a cold voice.
The two bodyguards knew he meant them and immediately got out of the car, allowing their aloof master to be alone.
“You too,” this time, Huo Juren spoke to the driver. “I’ll call you back when needed.”
“Yes, Mr. Huo.”
Working under Huo Juren, the primary condition was that one’s reaction and movements must be fast – when the master tells you to disappear, you must disappear immediately, or face the consequences.
After his three subordinates left, Huo Juren elegantly stepped out of the vehicle, his tall and slender male figure leaning against the black, gleaming van.
At this moment, he was in an area of Taipei filled with commercial buildings.
Glancing at his expensive watch, he calculated that it was about time for lunch.
Indeed, soon people began streaming out from the entrances and exits of various buildings, some casting interested glances at the handsome Huo Juren.
However, the invisible cold aura emanating from Huo Juren kept people at bay, not daring to approach.
He was waiting for someone, a woman who had hurt him.
Suddenly, as if sensing something, he cast a sharp glance to the side –
Shao Pingxi trembled slightly, as if pricked by something, and her footsteps came to an abrupt halt.
“Pingxi?” The male colleague who had just exited the building with her noticed her unusual state.
“It’s nothing,” she smiled faintly.
Witnessing her smile at another man, Huo Juren’s thick eyebrows darkened.
The light smile on her beautiful face vanished the moment she caught sight of Huo Juren.
Instantly, a bone-chilling cold feeling surged from her feet, rushing directly to Shao Pingxi’s forehead.
The nightmare that usually only appeared at night had suddenly emerged in broad daylight, and the shock completely stunned Shao Pingxi.
Knowing she had discovered his presence, Huo Juren revealed a demonic, cold and charming smile.
His icy-like shallow smile made her brain dizzy, and the male colleague beside her quickly supported her.
“Pingxi, are you okay?”
