Seeing her son vibrant and lively again, Lin’s mother felt a wave of relief, but watching him dash out of the room naked left her puzzled. Hadn’t there been sounds of dressing inside? Why was Lin Lin, along with Xu Xiaoman, still shrouded in mystery about what had transpired inside for so long? Both of them attempted to push the door open, but Wang Xiao Yun’s scream from inside, “Don’t come in!” forced them to retreat to the living room with odd expressions. After a while, the door to Lin Feng’s bedroom quietly opened, and Wang Xiao Yun cautiously peeked out. She quickly withdrew her head upon seeing the two guardians outside, only to re-emerge after a moment. She had not anticipated the presence of these two guardians, gasped in surprise, and her face flushed a deep red. After a brief hesitation, Wang Xiao Yun, still blushing, walked out, head lowered, avoiding eye contact. Xu Xiaoman whispered to her, but she didn’t respond, only letting out a cry of pain when Xu Xiaoman unintentionally squeezed her hand, quickly covering it up. Lin’s mother wanted to ask questions but found no opportunity as Wang Xiao Yun, pulling Xu Xiaoman along, left without a word.
