“Feng’er!” His throat bobbed as they fell onto the sofa.
Rufeng bit his lips, exploring as her hands roamed his chest.
Qifeng was half intoxicated and panicked, one hand supporting his weight to avoid crushing her while the other couldn’t stop her movements.
Her soft body radiated a sweet fragrance. She clung to him passionately, and no matter how much Qifeng tried to dodge, he couldn’t escape. He felt his body burning, and his breath quickened.
Ru Feng moved half the sky like the wind but realized it had no effect. Looking at him, she affectionately whispered, “Second Brother, don’t be angry.”
The tightly wound tension in his mind finally broke. Qifeng surrendered to his desires, eagerly leaning down, transforming from passive to active. His hand slid into her clothing, her smooth skin drawing him further.
The situation spiraled out of control. His usually bright eyes were filled with desire as he devoured her lips, as if trying to consume her entirely.
Clothes slowly fell away, and he parted her body, large droplets of sweat sliding down his forehead. Poised like an arrow on a bowstring, he hesitated.
Ru Feng was unconscious. If he possessed her now, what if she became angry? Even if she didn’t blame him, how could he bear to make her sad?
Biting his teeth, he trembled, trying to lift his body.
He would rather die of desire than harm her.
She was the woman he loved most, treasured beyond measure. How could he bear to wrong her, even if he was the one doing so?
Sensing the warmth leaving, Ru Feng opened her eyes and hooked her legs around his waist. “Second Brother, don’t go,” she softly called.
All strength drained from his body as Qi Feng covered her with his body and entered her.
“Ah!” she cried, her eyes misty, “It hurts!”
He restrained his movements, grinding his teeth, but seeing her tearful eyes softened him. “Be good, just bear with it for a moment,” he said.
“It hurts, get off!” She barely grasped the situation, trying to remove the source of her pain.
“Don’t, Feng’er!” his voice was a mix of pain and pleasure. “I promise, just a short while, don’t move your hand…”
Any man who could restrain himself at this moment would be a saint.
In truth, Si Tu Qi Feng was not a saint. Faced with Ru Feng, he was simply an ordinary man.
As the wind stiffened, she leaned closer and carefully covered him with the blanket. Qi Feng’s right hand moved and grabbed her.
Ru Feng let out a startled cry and shrank back under the blanket.
Qi Feng would never give her a chance to escape, lifting her entire body so they were face to face. “Alright, Wind, tell me now, are you regretting it?”
Ru Feng bit her lip, her gaze fixed on the dark red bite mark on his neck. She reached out to touch it and asked softly, “I’m sorry.”
“Sorry for what?” Qi Feng stared at her intently.
“I didn’t know I was so violent when drunk. It won’t happen again.”
Qi Feng relaxed. As long as she wasn’t regretting things, he wasn’t afraid. He had imagined countless scenarios for comforting her if she was angry or sad, but now it seemed most of those wouldn’t be necessary. He curved his mouth slightly, “Mm, be gentler with me in the future.”
“Second Brother!” She buried her face in his chest, blushing with embarrassment, and finally asked, “Was it in the office?”
Her voice was so soft that he couldn’t hear clearly. “What did you say?”
Almost crying, she closed her eyes, “Did you lock the door?” If someone had walked in, she wouldn’t be able to show her face at the company again.
Qi Feng finally understood and chuckled, earning her angry glare. He quickly suppressed his laughter, “Don’t worry, my door automatically locks when closed. No one can enter without my permission.”
At least that was some consolation.
The location of their first time was embarrassing. If they had been caught, she would have felt humiliated.
“Wind!” Qi Feng hugged her tightly. “Let’s get married!”
Ru Feng closed her eyes, sensing his tension during her brief silence. Her heart softened. “Okay!”
“Wind!” He called softly, then kissed her eagerly, joy flowing between them.
She smiled, raising her hands to hug him.
This is fine, she thought; she wanted her second brother to be happy.
After breakfast, Qi Feng announced their wedding plans. Dad would host the guests, the eldest brother would design the wedding dress, and Qi Feng would arrange the banquet and proceedings.
Seeing his enthusiasm, even his usually cold expression softened. Ru Feng felt relieved; if she had known marriage would make him so happy, she would have agreed much earlier.
While Qi Feng browsed menu options, she slipped out to a pharmacy next to the hotel, buying a box of contraceptive pills and hiding them in her bag.
As soon as she stepped out, she received a call from Qi Feng, “Where did you go?”
“Oh, I took a phone call. I’ll be right back.”
“Mm, come and see if you like the dishes I’ve chosen.”
“Okay!”
She hung up the phone, her hand pressing against her bag, as if holding a secret.
They couldn’t have children for now.
After the media reported her wedding news, she didn’t expect Qiu Chi to be the first to call. He had been an important figure in Qiu Ru Feng’s life for over a decade but had been absent since she became Qiu Ru Feng. When she heard his voice, it felt both strange and familiar.
He chuckled lightly, “No way, you’ve forgotten me already?”
“Qiu Chi?” she asked hesitantly.
“Yes, finally remembering me. Otherwise, I’d be disappointed.”
She laughed, unsure of what to say next.
After a while, he said, “You’re getting married. Congratulations!”
“Thank you.”
“Xiao Feng!” he suddenly called her.
“Hmm?”
Qiu Chi hesitated before asking, “Where will you leave from for your wedding?”
Given Qi Feng’s status, the procession would involve many prominent figures. Qiu Ru Feng’s family had no house, and she was temporarily living in a rented cake shop.
Ru Feng scratched her head, “We’ll just book a room in a hotel.”
Qiu Chi paused before suggesting, “Why not leave from the Qiu family home? My father put your household registration under his name.”
On the household register, it’s reasonable to say you’re my father’s daughter. Xiao Yi can be your bridesmaid, avoiding unnecessary slights.”
Ru Feng was shocked, “How could I impose?”
“It’s no imposition. For me, it’s a chance to demonstrate my relationship with the Si Tu Group, which is beneficial. Or do you still hold a grudge about my past actions and refuse my kindness?”
“No, not at all…”
“Then accept it. You must let me do something for you, or I’ll feel uneasy.”
“Qiu Chi, thank you. Really, thank you very much.” Ru Feng truly hadn’t loved wrong.
“Thank me, and you’ll agree?” His voice was low and gentle.
“Okay!” she laughed.
When she told her second brother about this, he reluctantly responded, later seeing her poor complexion and forcefully saying, “They were good to the previous Qiu Rurufeng, understand?”
Rurufeng suppressed her laughter and ignored him.
“What was owed was to Qiu Rurufeng, not you,” he stated.
“How is it not me?” she retorted, “The one kicked off the bed was me!”
At that incident, Qifeng fell silent. He had been unaware it was Runer. If it had been her, he wouldn’t have dared to kick her.
“Hmph, you didn’t even recognize me,” Rurufeng concluded.
“I simply didn’t recognize!” He hadn’t even looked at the other women directly; how could he recognize her?
“In any case, not recognizing is not recognizing. This is a fact, and facts speak louder than words.”
Qifeng remained silent, while Rurufeng felt triumphant.
The preparations before the wedding were complicated and busy. The most leisurely one was Rurufeng, the bride-to-be. With her father and brother busy and no one paying her attention, she went to the cemetery.
