In this dark room with only a dim green light, the female ghost was focused on scaring people and hadn’t looked closely at Luo Mingbai. It was only now, when they were close, that she discovered he was actually an exceptionally handsome man.
The light dyed his white shirt a pale blue, and his originally cold and melancholic eyebrows, paired with a faint smile, were unexpectedly stunning.
The female ghost almost forgot how to speak, but Luo Mingbai continued: “…your hand is a bit rough. You should go to the pharmacy and get some cream to apply.”
Luo Mingbai clearly wasn’t scared at all. The female ghost quickly realized he had already guessed this was a real-person prank – but whether he was afraid wasn’t the most important thing. For the ghost, she needed to perform convincingly to earn more money.
She broke free from Luo Mingbai and reached towards his chest, saying eerily: “Then you come and treat me. If you can’t cure me, we’ll tear you apart…”
As she spoke, about a dozen dark green light beams fell, and the surroundings were filled with ghosts in various poses and styles. Some even held clubs and buckets.
But before they could act, the female ghost, almost falling into Luo Mingbai’s arms, suddenly cried out: “Ah, there’s a ghost!!!”
Of course there were ghosts – they were all ghosts now – but her voice was so shrill that everyone paused and followed her gaze.
To their surprise, they saw a person actually floating in mid-air!
Unlike their staged ghostly appearances, this was clearly not a movie special effect – someone was actually floating!
Who was this extra person?!
Under everyone’s watchful eyes, the figure slowly descended to the ground. Soon, he landed almost at the same height as the ordinary people present, except his feet never touched the ground.
Luo Mingbai noticed something was wrong. The person seemed to be an adult male, with blood flowing from his seven orifices and only white in his eyes, but otherwise looking quite normal – at least compared to the monsters in the room.
Yet, his appearance was far more terrifying than any bizarre costume.
The room suddenly went silent. No one expected that pretending to be fake ghosts would actually attract a real ghost, and everyone was momentarily stunned.
