A Concubine’s Odyssey

The Great King looked at the barbecue, then at Langyue, his face expressionless, simply uttering one word: “Okay.”

Langyue smiled even more happily, carefully picking up the meat and tiptoeing to bring it to the Great King’s mouth, gently supporting it with one hand. The Great King looked at Langyue, his lips tightly closed, and after a while, opened his mouth to eat the meat, then stared deeply at Langyue until her face turned red to the roots of her neck.

Suddenly, he reached out with his left hand and wrapped it around Langyue’s waist. Langyue unconsciously fell into his embrace, blankly making eye contact with the Great King looking down at her. Such an intimate gesture completely ignored us outsiders.

“This dish is good, but it needs good wine to go with it!” The Great King laughed, and I was surprised to notice a hint of bitter helplessness at the corner of his mouth.

“You, bring me the wine cup,” the Great King said to me. I suddenly came to my senses, feeling quite unhappy. Are you my grandfather that I should serve you wine? I looked at him discontentedly: “Pour it yourself!”

He lost his previous indifference, a trace of curious surprise flashing in his eyes. Suomulang beside him immediately pushed me: “Don’t be like this, quickly pour wine for the Great King.”

“Oh.”

Suddenly, my blue hair cascaded like a waterfall, blown and tousled by the night wind…

ook at her, just smiled slightly, her eyes filled with something inexplicable as she gazed at the King.

Looking at the Red-clothed Uncle, no, the Rainbow-clothed Death Warrior, they were already walking towards me. I gave them a slight smile, and they trembled, with Purple-clothed Uncle and Yellow-clothed Uncle immediately stepping forward quickly…

I seemed to have been ignoring the person before me, withdrawing my gaze to focus on this tall, magnificent young man. The King’s gaze had slowly transformed from shock to anger, then to disbelief.

“Is… it you?!” Before I could fully interpret the emotions in his eyes, my body turned, and I was pulled into his embrace. The next instant, my neck was deeply strangled. Was he going to kill me? Even if I had angered him today, he wouldn’t go so far as to take my life, would he?
