Crazy Smartphone – Part One

Wang Xiao Yun, lost in thought, didn’t notice Lin Feng’s fluctuating expressions, her voice still clear, “It doesn’t matter what’s real or fake! Sigh, you really are quite dense. Simply put, I’m just a catalyst, that’s all. You should understand now, right? So, what you saw earlier, 99.999% of it was real. But you’ve already overcome your fear of heart demons; if you keep obsessing, you’ll fall into another demon’s trap. Remember, obsession is also a demon!”

Lin Feng’s body trembled violently, finally coming to a realization. Indeed, the old witch, no matter how hateful, had trapped him in this illusion of victory, and his reluctance to let go of the satisfaction of revenge was the beginning of another heart demon taking root! “I understand,” he nodded, his anger silently extinguished, and he smiled at the indestructible old witch, “Come back, my love!”

The scene before him shattered piece by piece, like old murals peeling away, and as the fragments multiplied, the surroundings gradually became blurred. In the next instant, the landscape returned to the original barren grassland.

However, in Wang Xiao Yun’s heart, there was another hidden concern. She claimed to be merely a catalyst for Lin Feng’s heart demons, but deep down, she was in turmoil. During the time Lin Feng was struggling with his heart demons, she had made a shocking discovery, one she dared not share with him. Lin Feng’s sudden descent into the heart demon’s realm was indeed related to her, but the illusion she seemed to have conjured was actually beyond her control.

In other words, there was another powerful entity in Lin Feng’s mental space, an unknown force that made her tremble with fear. During the time she was supposedly “gone,” she wasn’t actually gone; she was being controlled by this unknown powerful entity, completely immobilized in the shadows. She could feel this entity trying to manipulate her thoughts, forcing her to do things she didn’t want to do.

It wasn’t until Lin Feng went berserk and started beating Lan Yu that this feeling suddenly disappeared. She couldn’t figure out if this powerful unknown entity was another side of Lin Feng. She just instinctively felt fear. She didn’t want to disturb Lin Feng’s peace of mind, so despite being extremely frightened, she still held back from telling him. Perhaps it was just an illusion! Wang Xiaoyun comforted herself in her heart. “Xiaoyun, let me take you somewhere!” One word woke the dreamer. The master of this illusory space is me, and I am the true ruler here; no one can block me anymore! Lin Feng seemed to be muttering to himself. He took his beloved’s hand, and with swift steps, headed towards the end of the somewhat desolate grass, his steps firm, without the slightest hesitation. Soon, they reached the end of the grass, as if they were about to touch the barrier of this strange space. “Xiaoyun, look, what is this?” At the end of the grass was a gentle slope; after climbing it, the view ahead suddenly turned into a bottomless abyss of nothingness, a chaotic void where heaven and earth could not be distinguished. Strangely, within this so-called void, there faintly appeared enormous, luxurious palaces, surrounded by many dazzling, bizarre lights, much like the indispensable colorful lights around skyscrapers in a city’s night sky. If one stared intently into the distance for a while, the scene would become much clearer, whether because the eyes had adapted to this illusory place or because these ethereal palace clusters had drifted closer. In any case, these breathtaking places were full of vitality, far from the dullness of ordinary inanimate structures. Everything before them, even described as magnificent or grand, seemed so pale in comparison. Despite this not being the first time Lin Feng had seen this grand scene, and despite his heart swelling with thousands of emotions when he came, intending to show off as the master of this place to Wang Xiaoyun, he was once again shocked. A deep sense of humility, smallness, and fragility emerged from his heart, feeling that compared to this, he and Wang Xiaoyun were less than a drop in the ocean. It was as if it was a city in the sky, constructed from countless splendid palaces, covering an area far greater than any international metropolis with millions of inhabitants. Such a place was a miracle beyond human capability. What kind of place was this?!

Chapter 152: The Mirage of the Sky

This was a true architectural complex standing in mid-air, if one could speak of heaven and earth in this illusory space. The grand, towering palaces were built upon a giant, cloud-like cone-shaped mountain that seemed to hang in the sky. A rugged, winding path, like a heavenly ladder, intertwined in the air like a spider web, reaching up high and connecting the scattered palace clusters together.

Speechless, Wang Xiaoyun’s body trembled slightly, instinctively moving closer to Lin Feng. She tried her best to lift her head, her beautiful eyes filled with nothing but shock. “How about it, are you stunned?” Lin Feng said. Wang Xiaoyun was so shocked she lost her voice, her voice hoarse in her throat. She ungracefully grabbed Lin Feng’s hand and bit down hard on his arm.

“Ah! You dead woman, why are you biting me!” Lin Feng exclaimed in pain. “Does it hurt? If it does, then we’re not dreaming!” Wang Xiaoyun still hadn’t recovered from her shock. Seeing Lin Feng glaring at her with wide eyes, she grabbed his arm again, pretending to bite once more.

“Ah! Lin Feng quickly withdrew his arm, looking pitiful. “Dead woman, let me bite you to see if it hurts! Of course, we’re not dreaming!” Lin Feng’s heart was filled with grievance. He brought Wang Xiaoyun to this strange place, moved by her words, wanting her to witness the miracle of this space’s master. Who would have thought that this seemingly brave and careful violent girl was actually a softie at heart? When he first woke up in this strange space, he ran wildly around, exploring every corner in a frenzy, only to realize that the area was surrounded by hot substances, with no immediate way out, except for accidentally discovering this place. When he first saw this magnificent scene in the sky, his expression was not much different from his beloved’s current state, both were dumbfounded in disbelief.

“Lin Feng, what is this all about? Where are we? Aren’t we trapped in your consciousness? How come there are so many beautiful palaces?”

“Beautiful palaces?” Lin Feng was surprised by her choice of words and looked back at his beloved. At that moment, Wang Xiaoyun’s eyes sparkled with excitement, no longer showing any sign of the fear that had previously shocked her. She seemed eager to rush towards those beautiful palaces.

“Women! Your name is stupidity! What kind of logic is this? Beautiful palaces mean safe? Beautiful palaces mean we can just walk in? Just because they’re beautiful, we can ignore everything?” These thoughts, of course, he only pondered to himself, not daring to voice them out loud.

As he was still hesitating on how to explain, Wang Xiaoyun was already rubbing her hands together, ready for action. Lin Feng had a bad feeling. Sure enough, he heard Wang Xiaoyun murmur dreamily, “We must have traveled back in time to ancient times, I wonder which dynasty it is, what roles will we play? Are we the prince and princess of those palaces? I’m so looking forward to it!”

“Cough, cough, excuse me, miss…” Lin Feng felt that if he didn’t interrupt, who knows what bizarre events might unfold. What if this young lady suddenly got the urge to stop fantasizing about being a princess and instead decided to become the empress of the harem, and in the process, considered him her personal eunuch? He’d be in for a real shock.

“What did you just call me?!”

“Uh, your highness, are you well?”
