Crazy Smartphone – Part Three [Completed]

Qin Jian cast a menacing glance at Li Ke, causing Li Ke’s heart to skip a beat, nearly making him lose his balance. Qin Jian then looked meaningfully at Lin Feng, puzzled by Lin Feng’s strange expression. The words of comfort he had intended to offer Lin Feng to stay calm now stuck in his throat. Because at this moment, Lin Feng was unusually calm, or rather, timidly retreating. There was no sign of him wanting to confront anyone, thus no need for consolation.

Li Ke, feeling frustrated, thought to himself that if this rascal didn’t lose his temper and let this matter slide, then his plan to stir up trouble would fail, and he’d end up as the scapegoat again. No, could it be that this rascal hated Wang Xiaoyun because her parents killed his sister, turning his affection for her into hatred? That wouldn’t do; he couldn’t let him think like this. In a flash, believing he had figured out the key issue, Li Ke, despite Qin Jian’s warning glare, coughed to regain composure and continued: “Miss Xiaoyun was kidnapped by those cultists from the Sheng Yang Sect. Brother, this cult often kidnaps young men and women, forcing them into some sort of ‘sacred ritual’ which is really just an excuse for orgies and group sex.”

Li Ke was closely observing Lin Feng’s facial expressions, deliberately throwing out provocative words to stimulate him. To his dismay, Lin Feng seemed to be asleep, completely ignoring him, even feigning disability. “Cough, Brother Lin…” Li Ke, intending to add more fuel to the fire, found his voice wouldn’t come out when he opened his mouth again, only leaving him panting heavily. His vocal cords felt as if they were bound by an invisible band, causing excruciating pain. Li Ke, in panic, tried to scratch his throat, wishing he could cut it open with a sharp blade. He let out helpless roars, but no normal human sounds came out.

Suddenly, a low voice boomed beside his ear: “Enough! The more you struggle against the Silence Spell, the more pain you’ll endure. Just quiet down for a while!” The speaker was Qin Jian, the legendary figure known as the Omnipotent Controller. It turned out Li Ke’s incessant noise had finally irritated Qin Jian, whose sharp eyes saw through all of Li Ke’s little tricks. Qin Jian was clearly annoyed by Li Ke’s repeated attempts to provoke Lin Feng’s emotions. Lin Feng was his good brother, and he would not tolerate anyone exploiting him in his presence.

“Good brother! Don’t worry! Miss Xiaoyun might not be in danger. I’ll take charge. Let’s go and confront those bastards to find out what’s going on!” Understanding the situation, Qin Jian felt a similar indignation. He had already decided that even if it meant turning this place upside down, he would seek justice for Lin Feng. However, despite his words, Lin Feng remained in a daze, still standing there like a fool. Now, Qin Jian was truly annoyed, scolding, “You rascal! Pull yourself together! Can’t you handle this little setback? Look at you, acting like a coward! Snap out of it! Did you hear me? Let’s go; I’m going all out today. If I don’t drag out those fat, greedy bastards from the base and get to the bottom of this, I’ll take your surname! Move, don’t be such a wimp!”

Despite his words, Lin Feng still stood there, stunned, as if his soul had left his body, silent, looking like a bullied weakling. Qin Jian, now furious, grabbed a huge stone block in front of the sanatorium gate, weighing at least three to five hundred kilograms, and with a flick of his finger, it flew up, crashing into the large iron gate with a thunderous noise. The gate shattered instantly, and part of the wall collapsed as well. Dust rose, turning the once formidable gate into ruins.

A group of young men armed with weapons rushed out from inside, yelling for everyone to freeze or face being shot. Their weapons were immediately aimed at the group outside. Qin Jian paid no attention, and with another flick of his finger, the stone block flew again, hurtling towards the group. Seeing it was unstoppable, the young men, agile as they were, scattered in all directions. The stone block hit the ground with a loud bang, creating a deep pit in the cement floor.

With this one move, Qin Jian repelled the challengers, and no one dared to confront him further. Li Ke and the now subdued Wang Qiang, who was still being held by Qin Jian, were both shocked by his formidable presence, their eyes wide with disbelief. Li Ke, in particular, seemed to have forgotten the pain of being silenced.

“Move, you useless thing!” With a simple gesture, Qin Jian had destroyed the barrier and scared off a group of overconfident youngsters. Seeing Lin Feng still in his daze, Qin Jian’s frustration reached its peak. He no longer addressed Lin Feng as a good brother. As he spoke, he reached out to grab Lin Feng’s neck, planning to drag both him and Wang Qiang into the base to confront whoever was responsible.

In his anger, Qin Jian thought, “I thought you were something, but today I see you’re just a pretty package with nothing inside!” His frustration grew as he glanced at the trembling Li Ke, “Damn it! Lead the way to your leaders! I haven’t been back for years, and now these bastards act like cowards. Is there anyone in charge here?”

“***, get two people who can still breathe out here, now! Or I’ll tear this place down!” Qin Jian’s large hand reached for Lin Feng’s neck, but just as he was about to grab him, Lin Feng slipped away like a wisp of smoke. “Hey! You cowardly waste, where the hell are you running to?!” Qin Jian roared. However, in the blink of an eye, Lin Feng had vanished without a trace.

At the 223 Klaiduman Hotel, Lin Feng turned to Qin Jian, “Brother Qin, I need to go rescue Xiaoyu immediately. Please take care of everything here, look after Sister Xiaoman, Xiaoyu’s mom, and that idiot in your hand. I’ll be back soon!” As Lin Feng’s voice echoed away, Qin Jian was left contemplating the disappearing figure, a newfound admiration rising in his heart. “Damn, I must be getting old, my eyes aren’t what they used to be. My good brother, truly unpredictable!”

Initially, Qin Jian had misunderstood Lin Feng, causing a knot of frustration in his chest. Now, the misunderstanding had dissolved, and the cryptic message Lin Feng left behind made him feel an immense relief. Recalling his brother’s request, his spirits soared, and he burst into hearty laughter. He then grabbed the idiot Wang Qiang and strode towards the secret base. “Listen up, you bunch of cowards, get your breathing selves out here, now!”

After a quick farewell to Qin Jian, Lin Feng, without even a chance to say more, rushed off in haste. He had just learned from Li Ke’s shocking news that he hadn’t seen his dear sister Xiaoyu in days. He had been running around the world trying to accumulate “character points” to save Grandpa Wang from a bizarre illness, aiming to unlock a learning space where he hoped to find a cure for conditions akin to brain death. He never expected the chain of events that followed. Now, hearing that Xiaoyu was in trouble, he urgently activated Niuniu’s monitoring function to search for her whereabouts.

Fortunately, Niuniu’s system didn’t require character points for this search, only draining over half of his mental and physical strength. His efforts paid off; he soon located Wang Xiaoyu. Thankfully, she seemed in good spirits, indicating she hadn’t been mistreated. However, her location was unsettling.

The place where Xiaoyu was held was eerily similar to the “New Fantasy Realm” village from the “Fantasy World” game, with seemingly real NPCs and real players moving about. Lin Feng’s first thought was whether the kidnappers knew his biggest secret and set this up as a warning. But he quickly dismissed this idea; the setting was too authentic, too detailed to be a mere prank.
