The passing producer holding a goji tea shook his head. “You should adjust your lifestyle instead of relying on drugs.”
“I understand,” Huo Qizhi nodded in agreement.
“Medicine is three parts poison. I’ll be careful in the future.”
The afternoon scene involved the male and female leads arguing, with the female lead revealing a sixth personality as a fitness coach and throwing the male lead into water.
Huo Qizhi was in a poor state and took dozens of takes to finally pass.
When the director yelled “cut,” Lin Xiaoman felt relieved. She hadn’t slept well for several nights and was still recovering from a cold. After being in an extremely tense emotional state, she now relaxed and wasn’t paying attention to her surroundings, walking straight ahead.
“Be careful.”
It was Huo Qizhi’s anxious voice.
By the time Lin Xiaoman realized what was happening, she had already stepped into empty space and was falling downstream. Fortunately, the river wasn’t flowing rapidly, and she only fell, getting some scrapes on her hands and feet.
Huo Qizhi was the first to rush to her side. He immediately picked up Lin Xiaoman without hesitation, his face filled with anxiety and unease. After reaching the shore, he urgently called for someone to bring a medical kit and a coat, not even realizing how dramatic his actions were.
Lin Xiaoman sat in the mobile vehicle, with the man applying medicine beside her. The sunset light fell on his profile, his long eyelashes like wings, his nose soft and delicate, looking perfect.
She remembered how she used to trace his profile with her finger.
But now, she felt disgusted.
However, she didn’t show any negative emotions, instead smiling mischievously and suddenly asking, “Do you like me?”
Huo Qizhi’s hand paused, inadvertently pressing harder on her wound.
“Ah!” she cried out in pain.
Huo Qizhi quickly realized and loosened his grip. “Sorry, I used too much force.”
He looked flustered because of her – in the past, she would have been happy to see this. Of course, she was still happy now, seemingly making the person in front of her fall for her again.
“Don’t confuse the script with reality,” Lin Xiaoman tilted her head, looking innocent. “You were still immersed in the scene just now, right?”
“Mm,” Huo Qizhi lowered his head, sighing with relief.
