Meng Chi’s face darkened as he walked to the door and looked at the young scholar outside. His gaze was sharp: “You say you are Zhen Yu. How do you prove it?”
The young book boy behind him handed over a bundle. Zhen Yu took out an official document and a large red marriage certificate, smiling, “Brother Meng is truly cautious. With these two items, I can prove my identity.”
Meng Chi confirmed that Zhen Yu was indeed who he claimed to be. “Who passed on the message for you to come?”
Zhen Yu, unaware of any danger, smiled warmly, “Brother Meng, the agreed wedding date has arrived. I’ve come to take your sister home to get married.”

Suddenly, Meng Chi wrapped his arm around Zhen Yu’s neck and applied force. Before Zhen Yu could react, he was choked unconscious. Meng Chi’s other hand pressed on his head as Ruan Ning rushed over, grabbing his arm and crying out in panic, “What are you doing?”
“Killing him,” Meng Chi said flatly, his fingers already hooked on Zhen Yu’s forehead.
“You’re completely unreasonable!” Ruan Ning exclaimed. This man was a pervert!
“No one who wants to take you away will be allowed to live,” Meng Chi’s eyes flashed with cruelty. “My dear sister, you like Zhen Yu, right? Shall I kill him and lay him on this table for you to look at every day?”
