Future Phone – Part One

“Either add an extra hundred yuan to the electricity bill each month,” Liu Ming glared fiercely at Hao Yunyang, “Or move out of the room and sleep in the living room!”

“…Six hundred, I’ll give it to you when I get back.” Hao Yunyang hesitated for just a moment before nodding in agreement under Liu Ming’s surprised gaze.

Liu Ming, unaware of Hao Yunyang’s true intentions, widened his eyes, “Buddy, you’re not planning to rob a bank, are you?!”

“Do you think I could take down the bank’s security guards with my physique?” Hao Yunyang rolled his eyes, casually grabbing a braised chicken foot from the table that Liu Ming had bought, biting it as he walked towards the front door, “There’s still some money in my account, I’ll withdraw it for you.”

“…” Liu Ming was speechless. After Hao Yunyang left, he was about to unwrap the plastic bag when he noticed Hao Yunyang’s unlocked room door, and a smile spread across his face.

“Let me see what he’s been up to, hiding in his room all day…” Rubbing his hands, Liu Ming laughed softly, yet in a spine-chilling manner.

Meanwhile, in an 80-square-meter apartment in Shanghai’s Pudong New District, Mu Xitong sat pale-faced in front of the computer, dazed and unsure what to do.

“Damn Zhuiyue Liuxing!” Mu Xitong bit her lip, her delicate and translucent face flickering with uncertain emotions, muttering to herself, “Why are you doing this?”

In the past few days, Hao Yunyang, using the alias Zhuiyue Liuxing, had been sitting in front of the computer, not only searching for information to broaden his horizons but also submitting a LOGO design almost every four to five hours, always choosing projects whose bidding time was almost up.

Strangely, about 80% of the projects Hao Yunyang chose to submit to were ones Mu Xitong was also participating in.

The result was tragic. Mu Xitong had submitted thirteen times but only won one bid! And that was a project Hao Yunyang hadn’t submitted to!

Her time-consuming and heartfelt creations had resulted in this outcome. Logically, this should have been a matter of technical and creative skills, but all the projects that caused Mu Xitong to lose bids were completely taken by Hao Yunyang…
