Future Phone – Part One

Carrying bags big and small, Hao Yunyang’s eyes scanned the street sides, finally fixing on a mobile phone store, stepping inside.

“3,500, is that okay?” The phone store was quite large with over a dozen display cases. Before Hao Yunyang entered, two girls were standing at a counter, with one saying to the saleswoman, “Any more expensive and I won’t want it.”

“3,800 is already the lowest. 3,500 really won’t work,” the saleswoman said with a smile, slightly regretful despite wanting to close the sale.

“It’s dropped by 1,000 yuan in less than two months, yet you’re protecting it like a treasure,” the girl scoffed. “Chenxin, let’s go!”

At this moment, Hao Yunyang had just entered the phone store and heard these five familiar yet strange words, instantly freezing. Fortunately, he reacted quickly and looked towards the source – wasn’t this the girl with wine-red hair?

Standing next to this girl, wearing a small blazer and pencil pants, with hair flowing over her shoulders, who else could it be but Hao Yunyang’s wife, Zhao Chenxin?!

Seeing these two, Hao Yunyang wanted to call out and greet them, but swallowed the words. After all, they had only met once and had no real connection. Rushing up to chat would be too forward.

Moreover, the girl standing with Zhao Chenxin, though dressed in a relatively standard professional outfit, didn’t seem like someone to be trifled with. Hao Yunyang didn’t want to leave a bad impression on Zhao Chenxin due to a momentary impulsiveness!

He immediately lowered his head and circled around a display case to the other side, watching Zhao Chenxin and the wine-red-haired girl leave the phone store, only looking away after they disappeared from view. Then he smiled and asked, “Excuse me, do you have any phones suitable for an 18-19-year-old girl still in school?”

The saleswoman who had been serving Zhao Chenxin earlier had already approached him and was smiling.

“A phone for a girl?” the saleswoman nodded: “Yes, please follow me.”

Hao Yunyang acknowledged her and stepped forward, still glancing back at the direction where Zhao Chenxin had disappeared.

“This is the LG K510, a thin red sliding phone,” the saleswoman took out a red phone from the counter and handed it to Hao Yunyang: “The price is 1,395.”

Hao Yunyang took the phone, smiled at the saleswoman: “Let me take a look.”
