Future Phone – Part One

The selection round naturally didn’t require so many expert judges to screen entries. They didn’t have the free time to spend an entire day selecting thousands of logo works, choosing thirty-two winning entries to enter the next round.

Plus, Mission China itself had the purpose of increasing the website’s influence. In this competition, besides the fifteen guest judges each having 8 points of evaluation rights, the remaining 2 points were left to netizen voting.

The voting rules were simple: each IP could cast one vote. After the guest judges finished scoring, they would look back at which work had the most netizen votes. Then divide two by the number of votes to determine the score per vote, multiply by each logo’s voting rate to calculate individual scores.

This could hardly be called anything but an extremely underhanded tactic, yet it sparked enthusiastic response from participants, with people calling friends and spreading the word everywhere.

Mission China thus welcomed its highest daily traffic since the site’s creation, invisibly expanding its visibility and influence. Though the method was crude and simple, the effect was surprisingly good.

By 6 PM, twelve hours had passed, and the scores for 7,640 participants’ logo works were complete. Looking back at the netizen voting rate, the highest was “Colorful Clouds Floating, Drunk in Jiangnan” with 67,900 votes…

By 7:30 PM, the data calculation was finished.

Under widespread attention, the top thirty-two works were freshly announced.

Hao Yunyang naturally sat early before his computer, heart drumming, refreshing the page to see a large banner on the website’s homepage: Logo Design Master Competition Top 32 Contestants Results Announced.

Clicking the advertisement, a new page popped up, decorated with colorful flags, festive beyond measure.

When Hao Yunyang’s gaze fell on the results list, half his body went cold. Seeming somewhat disbelieving, he widened his eyes and murmured, “How could this be?”

“Oh, coming.” Hao Yunyang responded verbally, but a sense of doubt arose in his heart. Promoted? Ten thousand yuan? Could it be…
