Future Phone – Part Two

The meeting place was at a coffee shop outside the school. Fortunately, Hao Yunyang and Hao Zhenzhen arrived at noon; if it were evening, they would probably not even find a seat.

These days, students’ living conditions have changed dramatically. Spending free time meeting a girl at a coffee shop to chat and discuss dreams has become extremely common.

Under the guidance of a server, Hao Yunyang and Hao Zhenzhen entered a private room in the coffee shop. After instructing the server to lead Gu Shaohua to the room when he arrives, Hao Yunyang smiled slightly and sat on the sofa.

Hao Zhenzhen’s mood was indeed quite nervous. Although she was fierce at school and called a “mighty spicy girl” by her classmates, this was just a form of self-protection. In front of Hao Yunyang, she couldn’t be fierce at all.

Hao Zhenzhen understood who had single-handedly driven the changes in the Hao family and who had fought for their current situation. Therefore, she was very clear about Hao Yunyang’s authority in the family. If Gu Shaohua couldn’t pass Hao Yunyang’s scrutiny, then there would be no need to meet the parents and elders.

Her anxious mood was evident on her face. Hao Yunyang would not easily make a decision before obtaining Gu Shaohua’s detailed information. Moreover, this noon meeting was just a routine matter. He wanted to first see what kind of person this young man was.

Only after meeting him and comparing him with his information could he draw the most accurate conclusion. Hao Yunyang did not want to see Hao Zhenzhen heartbroken, nor would he easily let her be with Gu Shaohua. At least, Hao Yunyang needed to fully understand Gu Shaohua’s situation and confirm that this young man was someone who could be entrusted for life.

Hao Yunyang suddenly turned his head and spoke to someone outside the room, then six people with somewhat ambiguous smiles entered. Immediately, four Dragon Team members and two Special Operations Team members pushed open the door and stood in two rows along the wall, like six guardian statues, under Hao Zhenzhen’s surprised gaze.

Especially the cold expression on these six people’s faces would create psychological pressure for anyone entering.

Hao Zhenzhen was not foolish and knew Hao Yunyang was not someone who liked to show off. Seeing the stance of these six people and thinking for a moment, she immediately understood Hao Yunyang’s intention. While slightly displeased, she also felt an inexplicable anticipation: How would Gu Shaohua react when he entered?

Because of this anticipation, Hao Zhenzhen did not stop Hao Yunyang’s arrangement.

Twenty minutes after entering the room, the door was knocked: “Suppress.”

“Come in,” Hao Yunyang’s previously warm and chatty expression suddenly turned serious. His flat tone momentarily made Hao Zhenzhen feel strange, as if Hao Yunyang had suddenly become distant.

Hao Zhenzhen could not understand that the current Hao Yunyang was no longer the big boy in her memory, but a person in a position of power. The unfamiliar temperament now made her feel what was known as an “authoritative aura,” though still faint, it was beginning to take shape.

The door was silently pushed open. The previous female server entered, nodded and smiled at Hao Yunyang, then turned to guide Gu Shaohua: “Please, right here.”

Gu Shaohua was about two years older than Hao Zhenzhen and a year younger than Hao Yunyang. He looked clean and quiet, with a height of 1.75 meters, neither tall nor short. Wearing black-framed glasses, what surprised Hao Yunyang was his outdated 7:3 parted hairstyle.

However, this old-fashioned hairstyle, paired with his white shirt and jeans, created a surprisingly harmonious impression. It did not feel awkward at all. Overall, Gu Shaohua’s appearance had passed Hao Yunyang’s initial assessment.

“Shaohua, right?” Hao Yunyang observed Gu Shaohua and showed a subtle smile, neither stiff nor overly warm, just right: “Come and sit.”

“Okay,” Gu Shaohua’s heart was drumming, truly nervous, but he had to steel himself to walk in, his expression somewhat forced.

Hao Zhenzhen had previously told him about her family’s situation. The most information Gu Shaohua obtained from Hao Zhenzhen was about Hao Yunyang.

Gu Shaohua also understood the vast difference between his family and the current Hao family. The contrast between a big mountain and a pebble might even be an understatement.

After learning about Hao Yunyang’s achievements, Gu Shaohua’s temperament had changed considerably. While maintaining his pride, he had become much more rational.

Because he had secretly compared himself to Hao Yunyang, and after this comparison, he realized his previous pride was merely thin ice, easily shattered and worthless!

In terms of age, Hao Yunyang was only one year older. But while he was still a college student, Hao Yunyang was already a CEO of a large company!

In terms of talent, Hao Yunyang had graduated high school but established his current foundation in just two years, truly a genius among geniuses! Gu Shaohua was not foolish enough to compare textbook knowledge with Hao Yunyang.

So, after comparing, Gu Shaohua suffered a blow much greater and more numerous than the blows he had received in the past twenty years! Especially outside the private room, those two burly men were clearly bodyguards! Gu Shaohua knew that people who could travel with bodyguards were either showing off or truly important figures. Obviously, from what he learned from Hao Zhenzhen, Hao Yunyang didn’t seem to be someone who liked to show off.

Naturally, under so many preconditions, coming here to meet Hao Yunyang, unease inevitably arose in his heart.

Carefully entering the private room, he gently closed the door, and when he turned around, Gu Shaohua noticed the six men with expressionless faces. His heart skipped a beat, and he broke out in a cold sweat, his unease intensifying.

“Sit here!” Seeing Gu Shaohua had finally arrived, Hao Zhenzhen didn’t want to make him too uncomfortable. She immediately stood up from the sofa and gently pulled Gu Shaohua to sit on her side of the sofa. To ease Gu Shaohua’s wariness of Hao Yunyang, she laughed and said, “Look at you, you took so long to come after the phone call. Did you run into some girl on the way?”

Hao Zhenzhen’s remark was meant as a joke to dispel the oppressive atmosphere, but she clearly underestimated its effect on Gu Shaohua. Upon hearing her words, he immediately became nervous and hurriedly explained, “I, I was taking a nap in the dorm, and after receiving your call, I had to get dressed, put on socks, put on shoes, and run down from the sixth floor, and then…”

His rushed explanation left Hao Zhenzhen speechless, but Hao Yunyang laughed.

This Gu Shaohua seems to have symptoms of logorrhea!

Good news! This was absolutely a great thing! Because of Gu Shaohua’s incoherent explanation, Hao Yunyang’s impression of him improved. Logorrhea was good! Although Hao Yunyang was a male chauvinist, Gu Shaohua was Hao Zhenzhen’s boyfriend, so the more severe his symptoms, the better!

With his impression score increasing, Hao Yunyang became more amiable and asked Gu Shaohua, “Where are you from?”

“I, I’m from Xiasha, Hangzhou,” Gu Shaohua stammered, looking at Hao Yunyang before lowering his head, not daring to make eye contact.

“Oh? From Hangzhou,” Hao Yunyang smiled. “Didn’t expect Hangzhou not only produces beautiful women but also handsome guys like you. Not bad. How old are you this year?”

Completely in the tone of an elder inquiring about a junior! In fact, Gu Shaohua was only a year younger than Hao Yunyang.

“Twenty,” Gu Shaohua didn’t dare to be negligent and quickly answered honestly.

“Twenty, hmm, not very old! Already have a girlfriend so early…”
