Future Phone – Part Two

“Banzhang, the person who just went in, that’s Hao Yunyang, right?” As Hao Yunyang and Liu Xueling passed through the lobby, chatting and laughing, they almost completely stunned those who knew Hao Yunyang. When did he start acting like a kept man? Several curious waitresses approached Cao Banzhang, speaking as if they’d seen an alien invasion: “How does he seem so familiar with Director Liu?”

“He probably got a manager position in some company,” Cao Banzhang said uncertainly. “I just heard Director Liu call him ‘Director Hao’, and Hao Yunyang seemed quite at ease about it.”

“Wow, Director Liu called him ‘Director Hao’?” A waitress exclaimed: “His face must be really big! No matter what company, a manager’s monthly salary can’t be less than 5-6 thousand, which is equivalent to three months of my salary!”

“Maybe he just got lucky…”

“Then you go try and become a manager too!”

“What’s so great about being a manager?”

“Then go ahead and become one!”

“I can’t be bothered to argue with you…”

“You’re so funny, who’s arguing with you? If you don’t speak, who’s arguing?”

“You…”

“What are you all doing?!” Just as two waitresses were about to start a fight, Wang Qun came out of the ordering area with a walkie-talkie, his face long and stern: “Fooling around during work hours? Do you think this is the street? Cao Xiu, you’re a team leader but you let them cause a disturbance. I think you don’t want to work anymore!”

“Everyone go back to work,” Cao Xiu, looking embarrassed after Wang Qun’s scolding, hurried the waitresses back to work. As he passed Wang Qun, he suddenly had a thought and whispered: “Hao Yunyang is back.”

“What about Hao Yunyang being back?” Wang Qun reflexively snapped, then froze, the scene of being pushed down by Hao Yunyang that day, which had made his buttocks hurt for days, flashing in his mind. He grabbed Cao Xiu: “Where is he?”

“Please sit.” Wang Shiyu consciously stood outside and didn’t follow Hao Yunyang and Liu Xueling into the office. After opening the door, Liu Xueling invited Hao Yunyang to sit on the sofa and poured two cups of Dahongpao tea before sitting across from him, saying: “Thank you so much for last time’s matter. I’ve been wanting to thank you in person.”

“Hehe, it’s mutual benefit. I also need to thank you for helping with my friend’s matter,” Hao Yunyang smiled calmly, pondering Liu Xueling’s purpose for calling him here. “No need for thanks.”

“One thing at a time. Thanks should be given where they’re due,” Liu Xueling smiled and continued: “There are so many internal spies in our company. If you hadn’t reminded me, my brother and I would have failed this bidding meeting.”

“Director Liu, you’re being too serious,” Hao Yunyang’s heart skipped a beat – Liu Xueling’s words seemed to carry a deeper meaning!

“Not severe, just stating facts,” Liu Xueling smiled: “Last time you mentioned someone asked you to relay a message. Can you reveal which boss is supporting our Liu family?”

“Really want to know?” Hao Yunyang hesitated, then decided to play along, narrowing his eyes.

“If you’re willing to say, of course I want to know,” Liu Xueling directly acknowledged her curiosity.

“Hehe,” Hao Yunyang laughed, speaking under Liu Xueling’s suspicious gaze: “I’d love to tell you the truth, but the timing isn’t right. Revealing it now would only cause trouble. Not revealing it means you’ll understand the reason later, and there will be many benefits.”

“Benefits?” While Hao Yunyang played mysterious, Liu Xueling’s mind was racing, unable to connect how this could relate to “many benefits”. If corporate spies could be considered a good thing, then these would indeed be great benefits!

Liu Xueling’s expression remained unchanged, still smiling, but her eyes flickered with sharp light, staring at Hao Yunyang as if trying to see through him. Hao Yunyang, however, remained calm and smiled back.

Time passed, and after more than a minute of staring, Liu Xueling suddenly laughed: “Then, let’s not discuss it.”

“I hope Director Liu can understand my difficulties,” Hao Yunyang put away his smile and said seriously: “It’s not that I won’t tell you, but the time is not right. What I can tell you now is just one thing.”

“What?” Liu Xueling now felt an impulse to pin down Hao Yunyang.

“This matter, fundamentally, is a rare good thing for you and the entire Liu family,” Hao Yunyang said seriously. “Right now, we can’t let you know too much to avoid affecting the final evaluation. But for now, if you or the Liu family encounter any problems, you can contact me anytime, anywhere.

Contact you? Liu Xueying began to feel confused. If before she had seen Hao Yunyang as a small character with ulterior motives to seize the Liu family’s industry, now his status in her eyes had clearly risen, simultaneously causing her own thoughts to waver.

Looking at Hao Yunyang’s serious expression and earnest demeanor, Liu Xueying was truly bewildered. Having been in business for many years, she rarely misjudged someone, but at this moment, she felt like she was seeing flowers through a fog. Who exactly was this Hao Yunyang? What was his true identity?!

“Indeed, contact me. I can find someone to help you solve the problem, but the premise is that before solving the issue, you must tell me the current situation in complete and meticulous detail!” A sharp light flashed across Hao Yunyang’s calm eyes: “Otherwise, a slight deviation could lead to a massive mistake, and I won’t take responsibility for the final result.”

“What a big talk!” Liu Xueying coldly snorted inwardly, finally showing impatience on her face. Just as she was about to retort, she suddenly remembered her company’s current financial crisis after repaying debts, and a smile appeared: “Then, if that’s true, I happen to have a problem that needs solving.”

“Not now.” Before Liu Xueying could finish, Hao Yunyang shook his head: “Wait until after I’ve eaten, and I’ll call you back. Then you can tell me your problems in complete detail.”

At this point, Hao Yunyang suddenly smiled and said: “I hope President Liu won’t make any irrational moves. I can responsibly tell you that among the opportunities the Liu family has obtained this time, very few enterprises in Liu City are included. I hope you can remain calm and make the most correct choice. That’s all. I’ll call you back later.”

“Who are you?”

“Who let you stand here?”

“Hao Yunyang is inside, right?”

“Move aside! Don’t block the way!”

“Bang.”

A sound came from outside the office. Hao Yunyang and Liu Xueying almost simultaneously turned towards the office door. Hao Yunyang stood up first and walked to the door. Liu Xueying hesitated briefly before following. Regardless of what Hao Yunyang was planning, before things were clear, she couldn’t afford to lose her temper. As they say in business, a slight deviation could lead to a massive mistake!

Liu Xueying was not so foolish as to create an enemy for the Liu family who was currently an enigma and seemed both friend and foe. Most importantly, the capabilities of this ambiguous person made her cautious.

“Oh my God!” Hao Yunyang ordered the dishes, chatted casually with Cao Xiuhe and a few former colleagues, and then turned to go upstairs to the private room. After Dou Yunyang and Wang Shiyu left for more than ten seconds, Cao Xiuhe took a deep breath and sighed, “Now I understand why Director Liu calls him Director Hao. Just look at his style. He truly deserves the title of ‘Director’.”

“Just the dishes cost over eight thousand, the commission must be at least six hundred, right?” The waiter let out a long sigh: “With Yunyang’s style, no matter how much money he has, he’ll spend it all. He’s just a manager, not even the boss, yet he’s more generous than those big bosses.”

“How do you know he’s not a boss? Maybe he’s already a millionaire.”
