Future Phone – Part Two

Li Kaitai and Li Zhihu had been in the hotel for less than two minutes when another taxi stopped at the hotel entrance. Nie Meiying, Nie Haijun, and Bai Hai emerged from the taxi, followed by another taxi from which Dao Ge and Ba Ge stepped out, their faces cold.

Ever since the day 6 Hu had laid everything bare, Dao Ge and Ba Ge’s status had finally changed. Although Bai Hai could still occasionally show off, he no longer dared to be too arrogant.

6 Hu was wary that Nie Meiying might choose to go all out, and Nie Meiying was also concerned that Lu Hu might expose Bai Hai’s matter publicly. With both sides harboring reservations, the relationship between these five people had become subtly balanced.

Nie Meiying and Nie Haijun were deeply wary of Dao Ge and Ba Ge, but Bai Hai still relied on the tattoo on his back and the jade ring on his thumb to show off slightly in front of Dao Ge and Ba Ge without going too far.

“Let’s go in.” Although the five people’s positions were not far apart, Nie Meiying seemed to ignore Dao Ge and Ba Ge, casually saying this before walking up the stairs.

Nie Haijun and Bai Hai followed closely. After the three of them had walked several meters ahead, Dao Ge and Ba Ge finally followed, maintaining a certain distance.

“Hongyuan, bring some peanuts and a few more normal dishes,” Yang Jianfeng entered the private room. The waiter quickly brought the menu. Looking at the dishes Yang Jianfeng ordered, Hao Yunyang could only smile wryly and try to remedy the situation, saying to Wan Hongyuan and Wang Shiyu: “Order the peanuts and dry pot cabbage, and choose three to five more dishes.”

“Oh,” Wan Hongyuan and Wang Shiyu nodded in unison, stood up, and left the room.

“Ling Qiu, the company has been developing quite well recently, right?” After Wan HongYuan and Wang Shiyu left, Hao Yunyang, sitting in the main seat, looked at the suit-clad Kong Lingqiu with a smile and asked, “I heard from Zero Ge that Nine Cities Network now has 150 million users?”

“Not bad.” Kong Lingqiu’s temperament remained unchanged, smiling subtly and correcting Hao Yunyang’s misunderstanding: “The user base officially exceeded 160 million this afternoon, and the official website and recent traffic are also very good.”

“Hehe, total assets over 300 million?” Sitting beside him, Liu Ming chuckled with a somewhat sinister expression.

“Exceeded,” Kong Lingqiu, who seemed to have no talent for lying, nodded after hearing Liu Ming’s inquiry: “Passed two weeks ago, and it should be more than 300 million now.”

“About that Lamborghini…” Liu Ming rubbed his hands, seeming a bit embarrassed.

“Already ordered from the auto city,” Kong Lingqiu smiled: “They called today and said it would probably arrive in the next day or two.”

At this point, Kong Lingqiu took out a business card from his inner pocket and handed it to Liu Ming, saying: “This is the auto city manager’s phone number. Call tomorrow to inquire. I’ve already paid, and you can pick up the car with your ID and other documents.”

“I really want to hug and kiss you,” Liu Ming laughed somewhat awkwardly.

Mu Huiting turned his head away helplessly: “Pathetic!”

“Don’t tell anyone you’re our general manager,” Pan Fengyu curled her lips, disdainful of Liu Ming’s behavior.

Well, Wan Hongyuan really wanted to kill that Knife Brother and Tyrant Brother, but after all, this was a hotel with many people around. If he were to take action, it would inevitably bring unnecessary trouble to Hao Yunyang, which would not be worth it!

However, since he had discovered Knife Brother and Tyrant Brother here, it meant that the Lotus Gang must have some “business” in Yueqing. Even if he couldn’t kill Liu Hu, disrupting their “business” would be one form of retaliation!

While these thoughts were running through his mind, Wan Hongyuan and Wang Shiyu still stood at the elevator entrance. Just as the two were about to order food, the elevator doors opened, and the hostess who had previously led Nie Meiying and the others to the private room walked out. Wan Hongyuan’s eyes shifted, and he stepped forward to block the hostess’s path, smiling kindly: “Little sister, I want to ask you something.”

“The company has already moved to the new office building,” Liu Ming said after some playful banter, straightening his expression and speaking to Hao Yunyang: “We recently recruited over 80 new designers. Once the remaining office equipment arrives, we’ll organize another recruitment, hiring another 100-200 people, which should be about right.”

“Hmm, handle these matters yourself. You don’t need to report to me.”

Hao Yunyang nodded with a smile, then looked at Zhou Junqiang sitting with Chen Pingping and asked, “Junqiang, have you thought about opening a small company or taking over a shop to do business?”

Zhou Junqiang and Chen Pingping were probably the most uncomfortable people in this private room, unable to join the conversation. Hao Yunyang noticed this and deliberately brought the topic to them. Zhou Junqiang stammered, “I, well…”

“After all, you and Pingping will spend your lives together. That little salary from the factory probably isn’t enough for Pingping to visit the beauty salon twice,” Hao Yunyang laughed. “I think Pingping is quite suitable for running a shop – she’s articulate and likable. How about this: tomorrow, go look for a storefront. Don’t worry about rent or price. Find a place with high foot traffic and a large area, then give me a call.”

“Brother Yang, I…” Hao Yunyang had spoken quite clearly. Zhou Junqiang wasn’t stupid and could hear the intention to help. He immediately called out “Brother Yang” without caring about age differences.

“Open a brand store. The Xuanmiao Space in Kunming, Yunnan is quite good. I happen to know their boss. I’ll call her tomorrow and get you the total agency rights for Wenzhou. Xuanmiao Space, a main brand under Chaobang Company. Hao Yunyang wasn’t just helping out; he was giving Chen Pingping and Zhou Junqiang a golden goose!

“Xuanmiao Space?” Zhou Junqiang, Chen Pingping, and everyone present looked confused. Only Zhao Chenxin, who had been out with Hao Yunyang for over two months, had vaguely heard the name. She naturally assumed Hao Yunyang was using his personal connections.

“Hehe, this brand hasn’t started promoting yet, so we need to seize the opportunity,” Hao Yunyang laughed. “Trust me, it’ll definitely work. Besides, I’ll cover the store’s startup costs. If we lose money, it’s on me. If we make money, it’s yours. What are you afraid of?”

Right, with a guaranteed profitable business, what is there to fear?!

Hao Yunyang wanted to help Zhou Junqiang and Chen Pingping, so he left no room for negotiation. He hoped that the next time they all sat together, Zhou Junqiang and Chen Pingping would feel less inferior and more confident.

Turning to look at Zhao Chenxin, Hao Yunyang sighed inwardly. At least for the sake of you and our son…

Chapter Two Hundred

This dinner was quite enjoyable, with everyone wearing genuine smiles.

Around 9:30 PM, after discussing various topics, Wan Hongyuan leaned close to Hao Yunyang’s ear and said, “Boss, I just saw people from the Lotus Gang.”

“What?” Hao Yunyang, who had been watching Sun Fei and Quan Wei drinking, was stunned and instinctively turned to look at Wan Hongyuan. “Who?”

“When I went downstairs to order food, I saw Lotus Gang members, and some important ones at that,” Wan Hongyuan hesitated before saying. “They’re now in the private room right across from us.”

“No way,” Hao Yunyang was surprised. “Aren’t they in Qinghai? How did they end up in Yueqing?”

“I don’t know,” Wan Hongyuan shook his head. “Are you sure?”

“Absolutely,” Wan Hongyuan said confidently. “Even if they turned to ash, I could recognize the high-ranking Lotus Gang members!”
