Girl, Can You Escape?

“Why is Ning so slow? Could something have happened?” Luo Yaling anxiously looked in the direction Zhuo Ning had left. Just then, a small figure appeared in her sight.

Before she could take two steps, a black car sped up beside her. The door opened, and two thugs forcefully dragged her inside. A pungent cloth covered her mouth, and before she could react, she passed out.

Two bodyguards attempted to grab Luo Yaling but were blocked, or rather, deliberately intercepted.

“Sister, sister, oh, my foot, sister…” Zhuo Ning rushed to the bodyguards, feigning a twisted ankle and falling to the ground to block their path. In that moment, Luo Yaling was kidnapped, and while Zhuo Ning played the victim, the bodyguards were not convinced.

The two bodyguards shot her glares before splitting up: the female bodyguard chased the car while the male bodyguard went to get their vehicle.

Once they left, Zhuo Ning stood up unharmed, revealing a sinister smile before limping toward Shen Yixuan’s company, putting on a pitiful expression.

At Shen Yixuan’s side:

“What? Kidnapped? How could you let this happen? Hey! Continue following, stay close, don’t lose her!” An angry voice filled the office.

“Slap!” Shen Yixuan hung up the phone, threw it on the desk, and leaned back, pressing his temples.

Who could it be? His mother? Unlikely. If she wanted to see the girl, she would call him directly. He needed to ask first, in case she tried to threaten him. His subordinates informed him that the kidnappers were not sent by his mother; she wouldn’t resort to thugs. Could it be that scum who had pursued the girl at her previous job? No, he had already taken care of him by having him locked in a mental hospital. That option was off the table. What about that bastard?

Shen Yixuan narrowed his eyes at the disheveled Zhuo Ning, realizing he had overlooked her. Could she be involved with the kidnappers? And how did she know them?

“Brother Xuan, why are you looking at me like that? Woo…” Zhuo Ning trembled under his gaze, pretending to cry.

“What’s wrong?” he asked, softening his expression.
