“Wait a moment before going back, I need to use the restroom,” she said, walking towards a public facility.
Suddenly, she stopped and turned back angrily: “Why are you still following?”
“Protecting the young madam is our responsibility,” they replied in unison.
Frustrated, she thought, fine, follow if you want! They were impossible to shake off. She would think of a plan once she was in the bathroom. She wished she had asked her brother for help.
At the bathroom entrance stood a group wearing sunglasses and black suits, some holding baby items. Passersby looked at them fearfully before hurrying away.
Where is everyone? It doesn’t smell bad, or she’d be suffocated. Her most important task now was to hope someone came! How else could she escape? There was no back door. What should she do? Luo Yaling anxiously stared at the entrance, hoping for someone to arrive.
Finally, a woman in sportswear and a cap walked in. Luo Yaling looked at her with sparkling eyes, as if seeing a lifeline.
“Excuse me, miss. Could you help me with something?” Luo Yaling pulled her aside and whispered.
“What is it?” the young lady coolly replied, puzzled by Luo Yaling’s grip on her. She paused slightly when she saw those eyes.
“It’s like this…” Luo Yaling whispered her plan close to her ear.
“Is that okay?” she asked carefully after sharing her plan, worried about a possible refusal.
“Mm, no problem, but be careful,” the young lady replied with some concern.
“Great! What about your clothes, though? How will you get them back?” Luo Yaling inquired.
“It’s fine,” the young lady assured her.
“Really?” Luo Yaling asked again, uncertain.
“Mm, hurry up! People outside might get suspicious soon,” she reminded her with a cute expression.
“Oh.”
A while later, someone in sportswear and a low-pulled hat walked out, and the bodyguards merely glanced at her before continuing to wait.
Luo Yaling felt nervous but suppressed her anxiety as she emulated the young lady’s posture to leave the bodyguard encirclement.
Phew! Finally shook off those tails. I need to find big brother quickly; they should be noticing something’s wrong soon. “What are you doing? Can’t even keep an eye on someone!” An angry roar erupted from an apartment.
