Girl, Can You Escape?

The four rushed towards Luo Yaling, but she quickly knocked them down.

How boring. These guys dare to cause trouble with such skills? Luo Yaling thought, curling her lips in disdain.

At some point, her glasses flew off, and her hair was let down, giving her a delicate appearance that didn’t quite suit her.

The young man in the corner revealed a sinister smile; it seemed to go as expected.

The self-proclaimed boss had somehow wet his pants.

Luo Yaling saw his state and frowned in disgust. She then fake-smiled and said, “Want to have some fun? It’ll be quite enjoyable!” She spoke while clenching her fist and waving it.

“Mercy, miss! I was wrong, I don’t dare, I won’t dare next time, please spare me!” The self-proclaimed boss, who had been fierce just moments ago, now behaved like a docile lamb, kneeling and begging Luo Yaling.

“Want a next time? I’ll castrate you next time. Now get lost!” Luo Yaling narrowed her purple eyes and shouted at them.

“No, no. We’re leaving right away. Immediately!” Luo Yaling watched them scramble away.

Finally, she couldn’t hold back. “Hahaha… How fun! That was hilarious. Cough, cough, cough…” She laughed so hard that tears came out and she choked on her saliva.

Just as she stopped laughing, she noticed something was off, feeling like someone was staring at her. Who could it be?

Luo Yaling was oblivious, completely ignoring a person who was intently watching her.

“Oh? You’re still here! I thought you’d run away!” Luo Yaling came to her senses and realized the little boy was still there. She wondered why he was so tall. Moreover, having him see her embarrassing moment made her feel a bit shy.

“I’ve been here all along. You just ignored me.”

Despite looking feminine, he spoke with a somewhat masculine tone. Luo Yaling thought to herself, “How did she end up describing him like a girl? He was a boy to begin with.”

“So, aren’t you going home? It’s quite late,” Luo Yaling asked curiously.

“Call me Heng,” the youth replied, his black eyes changing, possibly because he didn’t like being called “little brother.”

“Okay, okay. Heng, aren’t you going home?” Was she really that old? Why did she feel a bit scared looking at this kid?

“Drop the ‘little’; just call me Heng,” he said with a hint of frustration. Luo Yaling cursed in her mind. She was trying to be nice, and he still wasn’t appreciative.

“Brat, how old are you to be so arrogant? Be careful or you’ll never find a wife. I’m talking to you!” she scolded, putting one hand on her hip and pouting.

“Pfft! Hahaha!” Bin Zheng Heng laughed heartily at her expression. Truly unchanged.

“Y-you… why are you laughing so horrifyingly? You’re giving me goosebumps!” Luo Yaling was flustered.

“What’s your name?” Bin Zheng Heng asked, already knowing her name, especially after seeing her purple eyes.

“Luo Yaling,” she blurted out without thinking. When she realized her mistake, it was already too late. Not many people knew this name anyway.

“Little Luo, let’s go home,” Bin Zheng Heng reached for her hand.

“Little… Luo? Go home? What home?” Luo Yaling was confused.

“Go to your home,” Bin Zheng Heng said naturally.

“But… brat, I don’t even know you. Why would I take you home? Besides, I have things to do,” she replied.

“We know each other now. I don’t know anyone here, and I only know you. You can’t leave me here, can you?” Bin Zheng Heng looked at her pitifully.

“Uh… well… okay! I’m going to the Youle Empire. You’re coming too?” Luo Yaling softened at his expression.

“Yes, yes, yes. I’ll go with you,” Bin Zheng Heng’s demeanor completely changed.

“Let’s go!” she said, unable to refuse his cute appearance and expectant gaze.

They went to the Youle Empire together, with Bin Zheng Heng following her and smiling victoriously.

Chapter Eleven: Jealousy

At the entrance of the Youle Empire, Luo Yaling tried to push up her black-framed glasses but realized they were gone.

“Where are my glasses?” she asked Bin Zheng Heng.

“They fell,” he said innocently.

“Fell? Where did they fall? I’m going to go pick them up,” she said, knowing her eyes would be too conspicuous. She was about to walk away.

“Don’t pick it up, it’s broken.”

He didn’t want her to wear those outdated glasses again, which looked terrible. Bin Zhengheng was complaining in his heart.

“Who broke it? I’ll go settle the score with them.” She had finally found these antique glasses to cover her purple eyes. Why did someone break them? They weren’t even that conspicuous! My poor glasses, who broke them? Wu… How hateful. Luo Yaling was cursing in her heart.

“Uh! Calm down, listen to me. You broke it yourself, you stepped on it.” Bin Zhengheng grabbed the about-to-walk Luo Yaling. Don’t blame me, okay? You stepped on it yourself!

“Me? How could I step on something without noticing?” Luo Yaling pointed at herself, confused.

“Maybe you were too excited during the fight and didn’t notice,” Bin Zhengheng kindly reminded her.

“How do you know what I’m thinking?” Luo Yaling looked at him questioningly.

“You said it out loud,” he replied, amused.

“Oh!”

Did I say it out loud? Why do I keep embarrassing myself lately? Luo Yaling thought, frustrated.

Chapter 12 Escape

Luo Yaling walked to the bar, coming back to her senses from a daze.

“You little brat, how dare you take advantage of me! Are you tired of living?” she fiercely said to Bin Zhengheng, shaking off his hand from her waist.

“I just didn’t want you to be pushed down. I was trying to help you, and I saw you standing there in a daze.” Bin Zhengheng started, but Luo Yaling interrupted him.

“So what? Are you using this as an excuse to take advantage of me?” Luo Yaling narrowed her purple eyes, leaning closer to Bin Zhengheng without touching him.

“I… I… you…” he stammered, feeling helpless.

“Stop with the ‘I’ and ‘you’. Do you know how many eyes are watching me with murderous looks? If looks could kill, I would have died countless times already,” Luo Yaling said, glancing at him.

Although her words were harsh, she didn’t want to be misunderstood. Finally, she turned her head towards the corner, but she couldn’t see his figure; he was already gone.

Suddenly, Luo Yaling felt a heavy sense of loss sinking into her heart. She wondered if he had left because he saw her. Did he dislike her, or did he think she was trying to approach him?

Seeing her dejection made Bin Zhengheng feel sorry for her. Was it because of him? He thought it might be, as she was looking in his direction. Little Luo, do you not realize you’ve already fallen for him?

“Little Luo, what’s wrong? You look unhappy. Did something upset you? Oh right, didn’t you have something to do?” Bin Zhengheng waved his hand in front of her face. Just moments ago, she had been energetically yelling at him.

Right! Wasn’t she here to find them? Where are they?

“Little Ling, you’re finally here! Everyone’s already playing. The old editor even mentioned you! Too bad you missed it. But it’s nothing serious, just praising you,” Wang Qing said as she approached Luo Yaling.

“Oh! Sister Qing! I was just looking for you all!” Luo Yaling replied, turning her head to Wang Qing.

“You… are you really Little Ling? Your… your eyes?” Wang Qing was shocked. Although Luo Yaling’s face was ordinary, her eyes were completely different. Usually, she wore large, thick-framed glasses and never focused on her eyes beneath.

“Yes, it’s definitely me. Haha!”

This is how I’ve always been,” Luo Yaling awkwardly responded, her heart screaming internally at the thought of the old man’s followers discovering her secret.

“Why did you hide them? Wouldn’t this look better?” Wang Qing sensed something was amiss. How could she have such beautiful, unique purple eyes? A twinge of jealousy flickered in Wang Qing’s expression.
