The car stopped. Di Qi was eager to push open the car door, but it didn’t move at all. Could it be that even after arriving here, she still couldn’t meet Ilso?
The car suddenly moved, slowly sinking downward. It turned out the ground was descending. Di Qi felt uneasy, not afraid of something happening to herself, but worried about not seeing Ilso. She must remain safe before meeting Ilso.
The car completely sank underground, and the ground slowly closed, everything returning to normal. Di Qi discovered there was another road beneath the ground, stretching straight ahead. This was Sains’ research institute.
The car moved smoothly forward, with only dim lights in the passage. During her month in prison, she hadn’t found it difficult, but now, anticipating everything would be resolved, she found it hard to be patient.
Where would fate lead? In the future, if there was a future, what would happen between her and Ilso?
Everything was unknown. The unknown was the source of human fear, unease, and terror. She felt this now.
The passage seemed endless. She felt like she was traversing a tunnel of time, almost to the point of despair. So tired.
The car stopped, the ground rising slowly, light pouring from above, and she returned to the surface.
Having passed through darkness and invisible pressure for what seemed too long, her nerves were somewhat numbed. Di Qi sat there in a daze, trying hard to recall something but unable to remember anything.
“Di Qi, what are you doing? Don’t you want to get out?” A soft voice spoke to her.
This voice broke the illusion of time and space. Di Qi suddenly awoke, looking up… Ilso?
Ilso stood before her, smiling.
His tall figure blocked the intense sunlight, his golden hair shining brighter than the sun; his eyes contained the blue and depth of the sky; his smile could dissolve all noise and dust.
Her tears fell.
Ilso opened his arms.
She jumped from the car, throwing herself into his embrace, holding him tightly. Until death, she would never let go of him again.
Yilsuo and Diqi turned around. Seeing the newcomer, Diqi was shocked – Keyi!
Keyi held a gun, its muzzle aimed directly at Yilsuo’s chest. Her posture and gaze were incredibly resolute, her killing intent unwavering. There was no doubt she would actually do it.
