Lost Youth – When Love Lies

“You’re different from them. You never mocked me and always help me.”

“That’s because I find you pitiful – a little lamb thrown into a wolf pack. Of course, I’d be curious! But I’m also a wolf. Can’t find good people at Xuyang. Good people are just pretending.”

“I know you helped me out of pity, but I believe you’re genuinely kind, not just pretending.”

Fang Yuzhe finally couldn’t hold back, laughing so hard his chest shook. “You know, you’re the first person to give me a notebook as a gift, and the first to say I’m kind. You’re making me not recognize myself!”

Oh My, Kindness!

Xia Yuluo’s few compliments had completely disarmed Fang Yuzhe. Was he kind? Previously, occasional acts of kindness were seen as meddling. Now, this shy girl actually said he was kind!

I won’t go look for that guy tonight,” Fang Yuzhe said on the phone.

“What’s wrong, boss? He’s trying to mess with your woman!”

“If he likes her, just give her to him. It’s not like I’m short on women!”

“Are you okay? Why would you say that?”

Fang Yuzhe laughed, “Because I’m kind!”

He wasn’t kind just once; he became addicted to kindness. For several consecutive nights, he didn’t go out to pick up girls, didn’t trick women who liked him into bed, and didn’t even cause trouble at his father’s nightclub. This made his father suspect he had been kidnapped and urgently called the school.

Xia Yuluo began to talk with Fang Yuzhe frequently because he would come to the restaurant every few days. On particularly busy days, he would even “dispatch” people to help her serve dishes – free waiters who were all incredibly handsome, which noticeably increased the number of women dining at the restaurant compared to men.

“Xia Yuluo, carrying plates all day isn’t exciting. How about I introduce you to a new job?” Fang Yuzhe suddenly said when he dropped her off at her doorstep one evening.

“What job?” If she didn’t have to work at the restaurant, it would be great – the mental and physical labor was exhausting her!

“It’s a secret for now. I’ll tell you after you quit the restaurant.”

“What if I quit and can’t do your job?”
