Loving Care for the Yandere – Part One

Yi Ru Lan widened her eyes, her foot twisting in shock, and she uncontrollably fell forward. Horrifyingly, the door that wasn’t fully closed was actually pushed open by her.

A loud ‘bang’ mixed with an “Ouch”.

Jiang Dong Lin’s expression changed, instantly embracing Chen Jing, carefully tucking her into the blanket, then breathing a sigh of relief. He picked up the fallen bedsheet and wrapped it around his waist, only then having the leisure to look at the ‘dead person’ who dared to eavesdrop on his conversation with Guo’er.

When he saw clearly who was on the ground, he frowned and spoke in a gloomy tone: “Madam Yi?”

Yi Ru Lan was scared by his tone and forced an apologetic smile while enduring the pain of her sprained ankle: “Second Brother…”

“No need to say more,” Jiang Dong Lin impatiently interrupted her. “Just leave if nothing’s wrong. For helping me find Guo’er, I’ll spare you today. But next time…” he laughed coldly, his eyes freezing: “I won’t be so easy.”

Madam Yi’s face turned pale and stiff. She instinctively glanced at Chen Jing, and when their eyes met, Chen Jing’s seemingly smiling yet not quite smiling gaze made her heart fill with hatred. She quickly nodded, painfully got up, and limped away.

Jiang Dong Lin coldly watched until she disappeared, then strode over, closed the door tightly, and locked it.

“You’re still laughing,” he turned back to face Chen Jing’s smiling face, the coldness on his body instantly dissipated, pursing his lips with a slightly aggrieved look.

Chen Jing’s smile deepened, extending her hand to point at the abacus on the floor: “Continue.”

Jiang Dong Lin: “…”

Continue it would be, since that’s what he wanted.

He removed the bedsheet and knelt back on the abacus.

Chen Jing propped her chin with both hands, smiling: “Count by yourself. When you reach 800, I’ll agree to what you want.”

Jiang Dong Lin’s expression turned serious, and he immediately started counting: “One, two, three…”

Chen Jing stood stiffly in place, her lips turning pale, yet she remained motionless.

She admitted she was somewhat afraid, but believed that Jiang Dongling would not harm her.

And indeed, that was the case.
