Peach Blossom Calamity

Xia Bing wanted to curse Cheng Yuan Jun to death for not respecting her privacy. But she didn’t feel she owed Xiahou Zun anything – after all, everyone’s life path involves meeting many people.

“Anyway, we met by chance,” Xia Bing looked out the window, remembering herself at that time, never feeling lonely or bitter. Perhaps not loving means loneliness, but that loneliness can be compensated for. Falling in love and then not loving – that’s an emptiness nothing can fill…

Better Than a Biological Mother

Xiahou Zun listened quietly as Cheng Yuan Jun spoke, learning about her past relationship with him, his expression growing increasingly dark.

“Why did you date him?”

Xia Bing smiled, “I wanted to know what love truly feels like, and I thought Yuan Jun would be a good teacher.” Yuan Jun was nice, but she didn’t love him. He brought her much happiness and ultimately helped her understand that love cannot be forced.

The radio continued broadcasting, with Yuan Jun explaining his initial motivations for pursuing someone…

“Cheng Yuan Jun…”

Xia Bing turned off the radio, “He’s just that kind of person. Perhaps one day when he truly likes someone, he’ll learn to cherish them. We were never in love…”

Xia Bing didn’t know that Yuan Jun had already found someone he wanted to love, but she didn’t love him.

“You still live next to Cheng Yuan Jun?” Xiahou asked.

“That house belonged to my friend who got married, so I returned it. Now I’m living with Aunt Wen.”

Aunt Wen saw Xia Bing with Xiahou Zun and paused, wondering if something was happening between them.

Xiahou Zun greeted Aunt Wen politely.

Seeing Aunt Wen’s expression, Xia Bing raised her injured hand, “I was robbed while shopping. Xiahou Zun happened to be there. Without him, I would have been in a terrible situation today.”

Seeing Xia Bing’s injured hand, Aunt Wen advised her to be more careful and thanked Xiahou.

Xia Bing looked aggrieved, “They wanted to rob me. It’s not something I could have avoided by being careful.”

Xiahou Zun left due to company matters.

Aunt Wen, observing their interaction, said, “You still have a chance now. If he gets married, I absolutely won’t allow you to continue associating with him.”
