Peach Blossom Calamity

Xia Bing put some extra vegetables in the refrigerator, then started washing and cutting vegetables… After bustling for about forty minutes, she made a bowl of noodles.

She placed the noodles on the coffee table and let Xia Hou Zun eat. She just hoped this lord would be kind and leave her small apartment after finishing the meal.

Xia Bing received an email from her editor saying the film adaptation of the book was canceled. She wasn’t disappointed; it wasn’t an easy task, and she quickly replied to the editor. This was fine; she could focus on taking care of Aunt Wen.

Remembering her hospital inspiration, she immediately started drafting an outline. When she finished, she turned around to find Xia Hou Zun standing behind her.

Suppressing her surprise, Xia Bing looked up, “Are you done eating?” It’s time to go home, right?

“It’s a bit bland.”

Xia Bing rolled her eyes and returned to her laptop, “What star rating do you want? Sorry, I don’t have that here. Young master, go to a restaurant!” Criticizing the meal she cooked, if not for his cold eyes, she would have wanted to play a trick on him.

Xia Hou Zun said nothing and sat down with his computer.

Xia Bing put money in front of him, “I won’t take advantage of you.”

Xia Hou Zun glanced at Xia Bing, showing no intention of taking the money. Xia Bing turned to wash dishes in the kitchen, again lamenting that if all men were like Chen Hai Jun, the world would be better, and once more thinking Hai Jun was an exceptional man.

When she came out, seeing Xia Hou Zun still working, she couldn’t be bothered to say anything. Even if she clearly expressed her thoughts, Xia Hou Zun would ignore her, so to avoid coughing up blood, Xia Bing chose to stay silent.

Two more peaceful days passed, and Aunt Wen was discharged from the hospital.

Yiyi somehow learned about Aunt Wen’s illness, accusing Xia Bing of being unfilial for not telling her, preventing her from visiting, which felt very discourteous.

Yiyi went to pick up Aunt Wen and insisted on celebrating her discharge.

“Aunt Wen, please agree. She’s got money to burn anyway,” Xia Bing teased.

Yiyi agreed, helping her friend organize Aunt Wen’s clothes.
