Playboy CEO, Don’t Chase Me

“These paparazzi are so annoying, creating news when they can’t find any. I bet that woman who slapped you was probably hired by the paparazzi to cause a scene.”

While comforting the shocked female friends, he looked towards the pitch-black alley.

Was it really like that? Was she really sent to cause trouble?

Recalling her mysterious demeanor and the hint of resentment in her eyes, he suddenly—

Could not be sure.

A gossip magazine was slammed onto Wei Zhenghai’s face.

He sat leisurely across from Wei Zhanyi, shrugging in response to this provocative action.

An hour earlier, he had been notified to report in, already knowing he was about to face his big brother’s anger.

An hour delayed before showing up, originally intending to let him calm down, but unexpectedly causing his anger to ferment even more intensely.

”Do you have something to say?”

Wei Zhenghai flipped through the magazine. Needless to say, it was filled with his “Nightclub Incident”.

He pretended to appreciate the magazine’s dramatic “picture story”. Several photos were obviously taken with an infrared camera, capturing him lighting a cigarette, being slapped, looking surprised, with some angles even catching the side of that little wildcat, though in a small proportion and mostly blurry.

”If this reporter wants to switch to writing popular novels, I’ll raise both hands and feet in support.”

”Wei Zhenghai!” Wei Zhanyi, usually serious and stern, glanced at him.

Though just a casual glance, the imposing aura of suppressed anger instantly filled the entire space. Others would have been crushed breathless, but Wei Zhenghai remained completely at ease, casually surrendering.

  ”Okay, okay, I’ll talk.”

He briefly and concisely explained the events of that night.

”Looks like the paparazzi are targeting you, setting a trap for you to jump into.”

”You also think this was ‘entirely’ caused by them?”

”What else?” Wei Zhanyi didn’t notice the hidden meaning in his words. “You’d better go home early after work and cause less trouble outside.”

”Go home early to do what? Watch HBO or late-night news?” he mocked.

Unlike Wei Zhanyi’s domineering presence, Wei Zhenghai displayed a nonchalant attitude.
