Playboy CEO, Don’t Chase Me

He thought he missed her enough, but only when he saw her did he realize his longing was deeper and more profound than he had imagined. He wanted to quickly embrace her, to confirm that she was truly before him.

He stopped and shouted: “Qiu, Xiao, Chu.”

Her swift footsteps paused. The most familiar voice penetrated the human and vehicle sounds, directly entering her perception system. She didn’t need to think to recognize that the voice belonged to Wei Zhenghai.

Could it be? She asked herself. When Wei Zhanyi sent her away, he had already promised not to let him find her. She didn’t believe he would break his promise, after all, he was so opposed to their relationship.

But was this a hallucination? Could a hallucination be this clear?

She stood stunned, afraid to look back, fearing that if she turned and found he didn’t exist, she would be even more heartbroken.

“Qiu, Xiao, Chu, are you deaf?”

No, this was not a hallucination.

She slowly turned her head, gradually rotating her eyes until her peripheral vision caught the familiar figure. Only then did she suddenly turn, facing him.

It was really him, Wei Zhenghai.

She stood foolishly, looking at his appearance, as if he were a phantom, but he wasn’t. He stood there, real.

“Wei Zhenghai…” she whispered softly.

Reason told her to run quickly, but emotion made her stand still, greedily looking at him.

They stared at each other quietly, their gazes communicating longing and desire, as if time had not passed, and they had never been apart, still holding deep feelings and intense love for each other.

Xiao Chu didn’t move until Wei Zhenghai stepped towards her, then she panicked and took a step back.

She couldn’t get close to him, afraid that if she did, she would fall into his embrace, and all her efforts would be in vain.

He took another step forward, she retreated again. Wei Zhenghai simply started running, and she hurriedly turned to flee.

In less than a second, he tightly embraced her from behind.

“Why are you running?” The familiar scent, familiar body heat, completely surrounded her.

“You shouldn’t have found me.” She was conflicted, wanting to push him away yet also craving his embrace.
