Tian Ye raised his hand, wiggling his fingers in front of the waiter, gesturing for him to come closer, “We’ve been targeted by thieves.”
The waiter immediately became nervous and alert.”
Tian Ye tugged at the waiter’s clothes, telling him not to look so obvious to avoid attracting attention. He then pulled the waiter close to his ear and whispered something. The waiter collected himself and left, his expression unchanged, as if nothing had happened.
After a while, Tian Ye and Si Xiaoshuang finished their coffee. They didn’t order anything else or ask for playing cards. Tian Ye leaned back in his seat and shouted, “Shall we take a stroll by the sea?”
Si Xiaoshuang, captivated by the romantic atmosphere, laughed, “Okay, okay.”
They went to the cafe’s front desk, signed the bill, and Tian Ye gave a knowing look to the waiter. He put his arm around Si Xiaoshuang, and they left.
As soon as they walked out, the two “plainclothes” guards stood up and followed. They discovered the young lady’s bag left on the table.
The two exchanged glances and picked up the bag, their intentions unclear but actions deliberate.
As they turned around, many people appeared behind them. The waiter Tian Ye had spoken to stood at the front, backed by the cafe’s security, surrounding the two guards.
The waiter loudly accused one of the bag-carrying guards, “How dare you try to steal Young Master Si’s belongings!”
The guards panicked, trying to explain, but they were merely low-level operatives in Si’s team, without proper identification.
Tian Ye and Si Xiaoshuang stood outside the cafe, watching the scene through the window, laughing heartily and thoroughly enjoying themselves.
Later, Si Xiaoshuang said, “Brother Tian Ye, let’s go to the seaside and get some fresh air.”
Tian Ye, seemingly uninterested, waved his hand, “Go to the seaside? I’m tired. I’m going back to rest.” And he headed towards the Si residence.
One day, Tian Ye proposed leaving to stay in Hong Kong for a while. Si Kun, seeing how happy his daughter was with him, reluctantly agreed.
A few days after Tian Ye returned to Hong Kong, Si Xiaoshuang visibly lost her previous spirit, seeming absent-minded and listless.
