Please Be My Princess – Part One

Hui had been thinking about this since learning the young master was returning from Tian City. “Young master, please don’t worry. Mei Yu is still injured, and I guess the chairman won’t harm her.”

Tian Ye was furious and couldn’t listen to such talk. “I want to know where she is!” he shouted at Hui.

Hui was startled. Although the young master had always had this temper, it was rare to see him so angry.

Suddenly, Tian Ye’s phone rang.

Tian Ye answered, “Hello?”

“Young master, we’ve found a female corpse on A Bridge Road. She looks like the Miss Mei Yu we were supposed to take care of,” the voice on the phone said urgently.

Tian Ye was stunned.

But he quickly pulled himself together. He had to stay calm. He dropped the phone and rushed out of the villa, ignoring Hui’s calls.

Tian Ye jumped into his car and sped towards A Bridge Road.

He drove frantically through the busy streets of Hong Kong, weaving through traffic, narrowly avoiding accidents. Pedestrians covered their faces as he passed. Nothing could stop him.

Tian Ye drove without blinking, gripping the steering wheel tightly, pressing the accelerator to the floor. In his mind, he kept repeating, “Mei Yu, you must wait for me.”

He was racing against death, unwilling to slow down even for a second. He had to see Mei Yu.

Finally, he arrived at A Bridge Road and saw his subordinate’s location. He jumped out of the car and ran towards Mei Yu.

When he reached her, he saw her lying on the ground, covered in blood, unconscious.

Tian Ye was stunned, kneeling beside her. He didn’t know how to express his sorrow or release his pain.

He carefully lifted Mei Yu into his arms. “Mei Yu, Mei Yu, it’s me, Tian Ye. Please wake up. I’m begging you, wake up.” His voice broke as he began to cry.

Looking at Mei Yu in his arms, the person he had been searching for, Tian Ye touched her face, now devoid of life. His sorrowful cry echoed louder than the street’s cacophony.
