Please Be My Princess – Part One

But Mei Yu remained asleep, not waking up… After a wild outburst at the director, who was sweating from the surgery, Tian Ye finally calmed down. He would wait, carefully wait for Mei Yu to wake up, to return to his side…

Chapter 10 (1)

In the large special care ward, Mei Yu finished her last bite of apple, leaning back in the chair by the bed, tilting her head to look through the bright window at the azure sky. Clear sky with scattered white-gray clouds, drawing a beautiful painting against the blue backdrop.

Mei Yu’s heart drifted with the clouds. Since waking up, her various experiences constantly stirred her emotions.

Just as she was lost in thought, the ward door opened.

It was today’s on-duty nurse, coming to administer an IV and check her temperature. The nurse looked pure and beautiful, her white coat enhancing her charm. Walking to the bed, she smiled at Mei Yu, “Hello, I’m today’s on-duty nurse, here to administer your IV and check your temperature.” Her voice was gentle and hard to refuse.

Mei Yu came to her senses, looking at the delicate young nurse, and smiled, “Hehe, you’re new, I’ve never seen you before, you’re so pretty.”

“Hehe, yes, I’m an intern nurse, today is my first shift on duty.” The young nurse skillfully prepared the medication and syringe, then approached Mei Yu to extend her arm.

Mei Yu joked, “Little sister, you won’t be nervous and hurt me when you inject me, right?”

The nurse leaned over, wiped Mei Yu’s hand with a cotton ball, and said softly, “Don’t worry.” Before Mei Yu could process the words, the needle was already inserted.

Mei Yu instinctively blinked her eyes, then laughed, “Hehe, it really doesn’t hurt.” She stretched her neck to look at her arm.

The nurse smiled directly at Mei Yu, “Told you, I’m an excellent intern nurse.”

After tidying up her equipment, the nurse took out a thermometer from her pocket and said, “Hehe, time to check your temperature.”

Mei Yu was startled by her words, “Oh, okay.”

The temperature check would take five minutes, and Mei Yu was the nurse’s last patient. After placing the thermometer, the nurse sat on the sofa to wait.

Even five minutes can feel long for strangers, so the nurse idly flipped through a fashion magazine on the sofa.

Mei Yu watched her, feeling she seemed simple and easy to talk to. After five minutes, Mei Yu opened her mouth to ask the nurse, “Excuse me, do you know the young man who brought me here? Has the hospital made any record about him?”

Mei Yu was constantly remembering that young man, even dreaming about him, feeling they were so familiar, yet unable to recall anything…

Perhaps due to the effects of the medication, or perhaps because Mei Yu was tired, she lay in bed with her eyes half-closed, recalling and remembering every scene of her encounters with that handsome man.

The first time they met was in a dark passageway between the school cafeteria and the teaching building. They made eye contact in the darkness. He seemed cold, with a gaze that would make people feel chilled to the bone, yet there was an irresistible mysterious allure that made her want to look at him again and again.

The second meeting was more intense – the day he hit her with his car. She was knocked to the ground, dizzy and disoriented, but could still feel someone embracing her, feeling his warm chest and strong arms supporting her. His subtle body fragrance still stirred every fiber of her being, even as she was nearly unconscious.

Despite being nearly half-dead from the collision, she could still vaguely sense how cool this handsome man was.

The last time she saw him was in the hospital room just after she woke up. He claimed to be swatting a fly near her pillow, but who knows what he was really doing. What a bad guy… and then he just left her alone. So mean, so terrible… but still…

In a daze, Mei Yu seemed to have fallen asleep, mumbling words that were indistinguishable. Yet she felt she was still awake, with a blurry sensation that someone was watching her. Mei Yu opened her eyes and suddenly sat up.

Indeed, there were people watching her – more than one. Mei Yu screamed in shock, alertly moving closer to the head of the bed. “Who are you? What do you want?”

The man standing beside her smiled, “We’re nobody, just here to take care of you.” Hui was using his usual trick of scaring the young girl.

Hearing this, Mei Yu frantically searched around the bedside, trying to press the alarm to notify the duty room.

Seeing how frightened the girl was, Hui realized scaring her too much might cause problems with the young master. He straightened his tie and spoke seriously, “Miss, we truly mean no harm. We will take care of you 24 hours a day and ensure your quick recovery.” He then signaled to the people behind him, who dispersed to begin their tasks…

No matter what, I have been trying, so please support me or look down on me, dear readers. Give me some time. I will strive to improve every day, even if just a little bit, but I will never give up.

The important thing is how he maintains a heart full of genuine emotions, and I believe this is what everyone most wants to see.

Chapter Eleven (1)

Clothes make the man, a saddle makes the horse; illness requires treatment, beauty requires nurturing.

I must say, the aristocratic method of recuperation is indeed powerful. After just one week, Mei Yu’s weak and fragmented body has significantly improved.

Now, she immerses herself in queen-like days, full of energy and glowing with health.

This afternoon, Hui, after finishing company business, came to the hospital as usual to check on his protected target, Mei Yu. Hui walked softly down the hospital corridor, about to push open the door.

Looking through the door window, he saw Mei Yu lying peacefully on the bed and didn’t want to disturb her, so he quietly stood at the doorway watching her recovery.

Mei Yu lay on the hospital bed with her eyes slightly closed, looking very comfortable. Her beautiful little face occasionally revealed a soft smile, sometimes opening her small eyes to glance at the servants nearby, then covering her mouth and giggling.

By the bedside, a neatly dressed middle-aged woman stood respectfully, holding a fresh fruit platter, occasionally using a bamboo pick to select and offer Mei Yu her favorite fruit pieces. On the other side, another woman of similar age held delicate pastries, ready to offer them to Mei Yu with just a nod.

The room was filled with various delicious fruits and foods, all arranged and waiting for Mei Yu. Elegant piano music played, with a tranquil and smooth melody.

Hui stood at the door, chuckling to himself, “Haha, this little girl is living like a queen.” Then he turned and walked out of the emergency hall.

Just as Hui walked out the door, a security guard standing nearby approached, lowering his head and whispering, “Director Hui, how long are we going to wait here?” Realizing he might have made a mistake, he tried to walk away.

Hui heard this, stepped forward, grabbed the guard, and punched him directly on the nose, sending him staggering back, falling down the hall steps, bruised and unable to get up. Even then, Hui wasn’t done. He ran down the stairs and kicked the guard’s chest and ribs with his hard shoe, with enough force to potentially break bones, followed by the guard’s painful cries. Another guard nearby rushed down to try to stop Hui, almost kneeling and pleading, “Director Hui, please spare him. He’s new and doesn’t know the rules. Please forgive him.”
