Mei Yu’s mother, dragging her sick body and hunched over, came to beg Tian Zi Xiong. She had been in the Tian family for nearly ten years and knew Tian Zi Xiong very well – he was capable of anything ruthless. Several days ago, while visiting Mei Yu in the hospital, she had understood from the servants’ demeanor that the young gentleman Mei Yu kept talking about – the one who hit her and then saved her – was the Tian family’s young master, Tian Ye.
More than a decade ago, Tian Zi Xiong drove away Mei Yu and her mother to prevent Tian Ye from playing with her. Mei Yu’s mother had served Tian Zi Xiong’s wife for many years and was an excellent, meticulous worker whom Tian Zi Xiong’s wife liked very much. However, with a single word, Tian Zi Xiong dismissed her from her long-held job and forced them to leave.
That day, when Tian Ye returned from studying outside and found Mei Yu gone, he looked devastated – a child whose childhood was being controlled by Tian Zixiong.
Tian Ye’s mother could no longer bear it and burst into the conference room upstairs in the villa, where the Tian clan’s top leaders were meeting, with Tian Zixiong presiding.
Tian Ye’s mother rushed forward without hesitation, approached Tian Zixiong, and loudly questioned him about the expulsion of Mei Yu and her mother.
Her actions shocked everyone present, including Tian Zixiong. This infuriated Tian Zixiong. With all the Tian clan representatives present, being criticized by a woman would severely damage his face and authority.
Before Mei Yu’s mother could finish speaking, Tian Zixiong stood up, slapped her, pointed to the door, and shouted, “Get out!” This was already the lightest punishment he could mete out, trying to reclaim his lost dignity in front of everyone.
Tian Ye’s mother, covering her face and crying, protested about Tian Ye’s isolation and childhood. Tian Zixiong responded by kicking her violently in the stomach.
She was thrown against the wall, her head hitting a coat rack, and blood began to flow.
The elders tried to calm Tian Zixiong, who was clearly enraged.
Later, Tian Ye’s mother committed suicide in the hospital using a fruit knife, leaving behind her five-year-old son after years of futile resistance against Tian Zixiong’s tyranny.
