After three rounds of drinks, the prince stood up unsteadily to use the restroom. Yu Yi, along with another martial maidservant named Qingting and two guards, followed and stood guard outside. Hearing water sounds from inside, Yu Yi blushed and turned her back, even though a door separated them.
The change happened in an instant. The water sound stopped, and a cry of “Ah!” came from inside. Yu Yi tensed, shouting: “Assassin in the restroom!”
The guards had already rushed in upon hearing the prince’s cry, fighting the assassin inside. Yu Yi was a step behind, about to enter, when she saw the prince stumble and fall out of the door. She hurried forward, no longer caring about propriety, and together with Qingting, held his arm and tried to pull him up, guiding him down the corridor.
In the corridor, the prince fell again. Yu Yi then noticed his trousers were not pulled up, hanging on his feet and preventing him from walking. Fortunately, his outer robe was wide, so Yu Yi only saw his calves, but even so, her face was completely red.
She turned her head away, afraid of seeing something she shouldn’t, but saw two light, floating black figures sweeping into the corridor, their tiptoes already pouncing towards them. She hurriedly shouted: “There are assassins!”
