Cheng Yu smiled again, then became serious, “Song Li’s behavior is indeed problematic.” Fu Xiaotang’s face darkened slowly, “I no longer care whether he’s good or bad.” Her gaze drifted out the window where the sky was a pristine blue, and the clouds were so white she felt like grabbing a handful to feel them. Fu Xiaotang sighed softly, murmuring to herself, “Actually, forgetting the past is quite a nice thing to do.”
Cheng Yu felt a twinge of sadness hearing her words, “You really don’t intend to care about him anymore?” Fu Xiaotang shook her head, forcing a smile, “He has his mother, his sister, and friends like you. Where does he need me?” Cheng Yu pondered for a moment, then said slowly, “But, you’re the most important person to him. Without you, he wouldn’t have woken up so quickly.”
Fu Xiaotang’s dark eyes fixed on Cheng Yu for a moment, with a touch of mockery and melancholy, “Really? So I’m the most important person to him? Are you sure it was me who woke him up, not just coincidence?” She paused, “Then why does he remember everyone but me? He’s really special to me, isn’t he? If I were still interested, I’d ask him where his memory has stopped, is it before he met me two years ago?”
Cheng Yu replied quietly, “Why don’t you ask him? I think it would be good for both of you.” Fu Xiaotang scoffed lightly, “If I were still interested, but I’m not, I only find it ironic, all of this, from the beginning to now…”
Fu Xiaotang returned to “Heavenly Human World” to find Fang Junjie. She hadn’t seen him in many days. Upon entering, she found him alone on the couch, holding a glass of wine. He didn’t move when he saw her, just flicked his eyes in her direction, raised his glass in a toast, and smiled awkwardly. Fu Xiaotang felt that his smile lacked the usual calm and poise of Mr. Fang, instead carrying a hint of helplessness.
