“I don’t know!” Fang Junjue frowned slightly, blinking, then said with conviction, “I’m asking you! Did Song Li wake up today?”
Fu Xiaotang paused, then burst into laughter, “Ha ha, I knew you were worried about this. He did wake up, but…”
“But what?” Fang Junjue suddenly got angry, “Did he say he wants to start over with you? He better not, understand?”
“Understood,” Fu Xiaotang pouted and nodded, “But now, he’s ignoring me. He’s gone mad.”
“Really?” Fang Junjue was surprised, then clapped his hands with joy, “That’s wonderful! The heavens have eyes!” He then glared at Fu Xiaotang, “Are you upset that he’s gone mad? Upset enough to cry at the hospital entrance with Cheng Yu?”
“Oh! So you saw that!” Fu Xiaotang realized, rushing forward to point at him, “How did you see that? Did you go to the hospital?”
“Of course, I went to the hospital,” Fang Junjue said matter-of-factly, with a touch of regret, “If I had known Song Li was mad, I would have gone in to see him.”
Fu Xiaotang moved closer to Fang Junjue, teasing him by drawing on his face, “You’re actually gloating! That’s not very nice!”
Fang Junjue grabbed her hand, kissed it, “I am gloating. I’m happy! He deserves it.”
Fu Xiaotang sighed, a mix of regret and sadness, “I said it wrong earlier. He’s not mad; he’s lost his memory. He didn’t forget everything; he just forgot me. He remembers everyone else, just not me.”
Fang Junjue, feeling dizzy, took a while to process what she said but still didn’t fully understand, only repeating, “He… forgot you? Remembered everyone else, but just you?”
“Yeah, isn’t it strange?” Fu Xiaotang said bitterly, “It’s infuriating.”
Fang Junjue squinted at her cautiously, “Are you very angry? Upset that he forgot you?”
