The CEO’s Dancing Wife – Part Two

The conversation was not yet over, and whispers filled the room with a mix of admiration and envy. Fang Rong’s last words were undoubtedly like a get-out-of-jail-free card for Liu Yi. Even Heng Qing might rise from the dead because of this statement and ascend to great heights. Liu Yi was so moved that tears welled up in her eyes; she looked up at Zhang Rong and said, “Uncle Zhang…” Zhang Rong gently pulled her hand, his voice soft as he said, “Yi Yi, shouldn’t you change something?” Liu Yi’s face was full of sorrow as she picked up a cup of tea from the table, made a gesture as if to kneel, and softly called out with gratitude and shyness, “Godfather…” Zhang Rong quickly supported her, responding with deep emotion, “Good, good. Here I am, Zhang Rong, who has lived half his life alone without children, now finally has a good daughter! It’s truly wonderful!”

Fu Xiaotang, watching from the side, was moved by Zhang Rong’s words. She had heard some stories about Zhang Rong and his late friend from Zhang Yindui earlier. Now, it seemed that while Zhang Rong was invincible in his career, he had suffered greatly in love. Yet, one could see that this elder brother was a man of deep emotion.

Fu Xiaotang was caught up in her emotions, not noticing any connection to herself. Fang Junjie, Song Li, Cheng Yu, and even Ji Shan, however, all wore different expressions, each looking worried.

Several influential figures approached Zhang Rong to offer toasts, congratulating the Tenth Brother on his late-found daughter and wishing Miss Yi well for having such a father. Zhang Rong was not at all haughty, engaging with everyone in rounds of drinks and cheerful conversation. Although he only drank a little and then substituted with tea, everyone felt that the usually aloof Tenth Brother was now within reach, so they took turns toasting him.
