Fang Junjie glanced at her, then returned his attention to the computer screen. “Xiao Tang, is there something you need? I need to finish this.”
“I want to talk to you, I…” Fu Xiaotang initially thought to say, “You can finish your work first,” but then realized if they didn’t resolve this today, she wouldn’t be able to sleep. So, she shamelessly said, “I’ll wait here. I won’t take much of your time.”
Fang Junjie slightly furrowed his brows, looked at her for a while, then finally put down the mouse, turned around, and sat properly. “Alright then, go ahead.”
Fu Xiaotang noticed the wrinkle between his brows, something he had never done before. Was he really that angry? Seeing her just standing there, Fang Junjie called out impatiently, “Xiao Tang, what do you want to talk about?”
Coming back to her senses, Fu Xiaotang carefully chose her words, “I… please don’t be mad at me, I was really sorry yesterday.”
Fang Junjie’s lips curved slightly as if smiling, but there was an indelible sadness in his eyes. “I’m not angry. Why would I be angry?”
Fu Xiaotang stuttered, “I… yesterday… it’s not that I didn’t want to, I just got scared when you suddenly stopped the car. I was frightened. And I… I don’t want it in the car…”
Finally understanding what she was trying to say, Fang Junjie felt a pang in his heart, his face darkened, and he said coldly, “You think I’m angry because of that? Because you rejected me, and now I’m annoyed and ashamed?”
He laughed softly, reaching the peak of his anger, “Fu Xiaotang, so this is what you think of me, good, very good. All these days, I’ve been a fool.”
Fu Xiaotang was thrown into panic, realizing she might have made things worse. A-Zun was truly angry now. She desperately wanted to salvage the situation. “A-Zun, that’s not what I meant, I really want to be with you, really…”
Fang Junjie’s face turned icy, and Fu Xiaotang saw the terrifying side of him when he was angry. He didn’t need to say a word or show any expression, yet an invisible pressure enveloped the room, cold and forbidding, making everyone wish to stay at least three feet away.
