The Devil’s Designated Lover

“I never need a reason for what I do.” He turned and walked out the door: “Rest assured, no one will come in with me here.”

An Ke was not someone who would obediently listen, following him out of the bathroom: “That’s precisely why I’m not at ease.”

“If you want me to help you wash, you can come out,” Jun Hao said without turning back, his gentle voice brooking no argument.

“You…” An Ke knew someone like him would do exactly what he said, so she retreated.

“An Ke, these clothes are prepared for you,” Lin Sao appeared in time, and An Ke was overjoyed.

“Having you here is good,” An Ke excitedly hugged Lin Sao.

“Go wash quickly, I’ll wait outside,” Lin Sao wanted to put her at ease, and An Ke gratefully nodded.

Half an hour later, An Ke finished washing and went out, seeing Lin Sao waiting but no sign of Jun Hao.

“Miss An, please come this way. Your clothes will be taken care of,” Lin Sao’s tone had become distant again.

“Lin Sao, why are you being so formal with me?” An Ke looked at her suspiciously. Lin Sao had been fine before her bath, but now she seemed different. Was this another of Jun Hao’s tricks?

Lin Sao seemed to sense An Ke’s thoughts and said calmly: “This has nothing to do with the young master. You are a guest, I am a servant. Miss An, please follow me. The young master is waiting in the living room.”

“Lin Sao…” An Ke swallowed her words, quietly following Lin Sao, her dislike for Jun Hao growing.

She didn’t know what words Jun Hao would say to her this time. Arriving in the living room and not seeing Jun Hao immediately made her feel much more relaxed.

“Miss An, please wait. The young master will be here soon,” Cheng Hua reported formally, then left with Lin Sao.
