The Devil’s Designated Lover

An Ke unconsciously stepped back, feeling bitter. She had promised to return Jun Hao to Leng Xiang, but now she couldn’t bear to. She wanted to cherish this hard-won love. She looked up at Jun Hao, who was smiling and looking at her.

An Ke immediately turned away, looking at Leng Xiang: “Xiang’er, I’m sorry!”

Leng Xiang walked up to An Ke and hugged her, whispering so only they could hear: “An Ke, he has abandoned everything for you, so you must make him happy.”

An Ke nodded desperately, feeling even more guilty towards Leng Xiang. How could Jun Hao not want such a wonderful woman and instead choose an ordinary woman like her?

“Okay, we’re leaving now.” Jun Hao grabbed An Ke’s hand tightly, as if afraid she might escape. He just smiled faintly: “Xiang’er, go back.”

Watching their figures gradually disappear, Leng Xiang could no longer hold back her tears. The man she had loved for years was now leaving with another woman. Should she hate him? She couldn’t hate him, or he would disappear from her life forever. She was also a woman who just wanted the man she loved to care for her, to cherish her once. If possible, she wished she had never met him, never fallen in love with him. Then her heart wouldn’t hurt so much, and she could live freely.

“What were you thinking just now?” Jun Hao grabbed An Ke’s hand even tighter, as if afraid she might escape.

“You’re hurting me,” An Ke tried to pull her hand back.

Jun Hao suddenly stopped, placing his hands on her shoulders: “An Ke, I’m telling you, you’re not allowed to think nonsense without my permission.”

An Ke whispered guiltily: “I wasn’t thinking nonsense.”

“Dare you say you weren’t thinking nonsense?” Jun Hao persisted: “From now on, you can only think about me.”

“Domineering,” An Ke pouted. She wanted to ask if he loved her too, but didn’t dare, afraid she was just being sentimental, or that he was only doing this for fun and was interested in running away with her.

“Silly woman, what are you thinking about?” Noticing her mind wandering, Jun Hao frowned unhappily: “Am I that boring when I talk to you?”
