The Duke’s Affair -Part One

“Hehe…” Dien laughed, “What a pity… It could have been such a beautiful night…” “Pervert!” “How many days will you stay in Paris?” Dien changed the subject. “Leaving the night after tomorrow.” “So we won’t have a chance?” Dien said. “Can’t you stop thinking about these things?” Ye Ye pouted, her face slightly flushed with embarrassment. “Facing such a beautiful you, if I didn’t think about it, I’d be lying.” Dien kissed her gently, “Dare to make a bet with me?” [From Paris to Rome: Chapter Seven, Our Bet] “What?” Ye Ye asked eagerly. The Ye family were fighters by nature, a trait of the underworld dynasty. “Bet that we will meet outside of Paris!” Dien said confidently. Ye Ye squinted at him, recalling clearly that she only told him she was an exchange student, with Italy as her destination, but she said nothing about where in Italy, or what school, so it would be quite unlikely for him to meet her by chance in Paris. “Alright, what’s the time limit and the stake?” Ye Ye asked. “The time limit is within 7 days after you leave Paris, and if I win, you’ll be my woman every day in Italy!” Dien said. “And if you lose?” Ye Ye asked. “I won’t lose!” Dien said firmly. If this silly girl knew her own identity, she would realize that finding her would be as easy as finding a pair of scissors in one’s own kitchen for someone as powerful as him. “No way, what if you lose?” Ye Ye asked stubbornly. “Alright then, if I lose, you can do whatever you want with me!” “That’s too vague. How would I know what I want you to do?” Ye Ye pouted in displeasure. Why did he seem so sure of himself? Ugh—did she just board a pirate ship?! After thinking for a moment, Ye Ye’s eyes lit up: “Got it! Give me your number, and if I don’t see you within seven days, you’ll have to agree to three conditions of mine. When I think of them, I’ll call and tell you what to do!” “Okay!” Dean readily took out his phone. In fact, Ye Ye already had his number; earlier in Ye Ye’s room, he had used her phone to call his own, but Ye Ye was unaware. Ye Ye said, “Give me your number!” Dean casually recited his private mobile number, known only to a few close friends, not even his wife knew it, as all communications went through his assistant. Ye Ye dialed the number, heard Dean’s phone ring, hung up, and quickly saved the contact under “Huo.” She then closed Dean’s phone, saw her own number, and proactively saved her contact in his phone as “Ye Ye,” muttering to herself, “How boring, your ringtone is just plain background music. Don’t you have any songs?” “No.” Surprisingly, Dean let Ye Ye fiddle with his phone, his hands behind his head, lounging back in the chair, watching the girl on his lap. Ye Ye still sat on his lap, completely at ease—truth be told, she was rather thick-skinned… She turned on Bluetooth on both phones, “I’ll send you a song called ‘Night,’ it shares a character with my surname. Make it your ringtone, so when it rings, it means I need you to do something for me! Hehe…” Ye Ye happily sent the song from her phone to Dean’s via Bluetooth, “I love this song the most! I never use it as a ringtone because no one deserves it… You’re getting a deal!” After sending the song, Ye Ye handed the phone back to Dean. Then, she called his number with her phone: “Try listening…”
