Watching her husband’s back, Misha gave a bitter smile. Many times, she had looked at her husband with admiration, but he never looked back… “Mommy.” Dean approached the affluent middle-aged woman on the sofa, kissed her cheek, then turned to his grandmother, a petite but noble Chinese lady, and said, “Grandma, welcome back. How was Switzerland?” He kissed her as well, amusing the nearly seventy-year-old, yet spirited, elderly woman who looked no more than fifty. “It was nice, the new farm has good air!” The old grandmother said with a smile, looking her eldest grandson up and down. “Dean, what have you been busy with these days? You’ve been married for over a year now, and you don’t even have a child…” “That’s true, Dean, I’m eager to hold a great-grandson!” The old grandmother was always sensitive about the issue of great-grandchildren. Misha shyly lowered her head; although Western, Misha was raised with relatively conservative values, making her personality gentle and pure. “We have our plans! Grandma and Mommy, don’t worry!” Dean said, standing up: “Come on, I’m hungry, let’s have lunch together!” It was clear he wanted to end the topic. Everyone knew his temper; when he wanted to avoid certain issues, even at gunpoint, he wouldn’t continue. So, they started a new conversation and proceeded with lunch…
