The Duke’s Affair -Part One

“Head to the villa at No. 88, Mountain Top Road.” Dean’s deep, magnetic voice came softly from the other end of the phone. Ye Ye’s heart tightened. Just moments ago, he acted as if he didn’t know her, and now he was asking her to come over? Humph, she wouldn’t go. So, Ye Ye pouted and said into the phone, “Why should I go?” “Because you’re the loser!” Dean said coldly. “Weren’t you the one who wanted me to cool off for a few days?” Ye Ye complained. “Haha, I just wanted you to come over. What did you think I wanted?” Dean chuckled, his tone full of mockery. Ye Ye blushed, realizing she had misunderstood. “You misled me on purpose!” “So, are you coming or not?” “No!” “My patience is limited, if you wear it out, you’ll have to face the consequences! Decide for yourself!” Without waiting for Ye Ye’s response, Dean hung up. Ye Ye glared at the disconnected phone — damn, what an arrogant, self-satisfied jerk!

Ye Ye drove aimlessly through the streets of Rome. It was nearly midnight, yet the night still held its charm with flashy, cool cars carrying people in pursuit of nightlife, neon signs of clubs, staggering drunks, and scantily clad prostitutes… all whispering of the primal fall hidden under the cover of night… Ye Ye opened her car window, letting the night breeze caress her long hair. She drove slowly, contemplating whether to go or not… With his capabilities, if he really wanted to claim his prize, it would be effortless… If she escaped to Hong Kong right away, she might still be able to avoid it… But that wasn’t her style, Ye Ye… A gambler must accept the consequences… But he has a wife… Oh well, it’s just for four months… Should she become the other woman…? No, she wasn’t asking him to divorce… It doesn’t count… She just wanted to have fun… Ah, how annoying! Ye Ye slapped her forehead to quiet the two little devils arguing in her mind! Usually so clever, why did she feel her brain cells were not enough now?
