The First Demon Empress

I woke up two hours later, as usual, listening to Yin Can explain medical techniques and martial arts to me. I looked at him calmly, but my heart was in pain. My suppressed personality, my suppressed memories, yet I didn’t want to defy him. After he had cultivated and trained me for so many years, I only wanted to see what his purpose was and what task he wanted me to complete.

“Hui’er, tomorrow you’ll go out with your brother!

“His calm voice showed no fluctuation, his face so peaceful, without a hint of guilt.

I was nothing more than a puppet to him.

“Okay!” I answered softly and obediently, just like the Yin Hui who had never defied him in eight years.

“Hmm, aren’t you going to ask why your brother wants you to leave the valley?” Yin Can seemed dissatisfied with my unquestioning agreement.

“Hui’er knows her brother won’t harm her. In this world, only my brother is Hui’er’s family!” I stared at him frankly, my clear eyes looking at him with a sympathetic gaze.

Clearly, his deep eyes dimmed after hearing my words, but quickly returned to normal, looking satisfied.

“Brother wants you to enter the palace, to fall in love with the king of Cang Country, to love him with everything you have, even if it means being crushed to pieces. Can you do that?” A thoughtful smile played on his stern face, his perfect mouth curving into a beautiful arc.

“Okay!” I looked at him firmly, without any extra words. Even if I knew their plan, I was still his puppet, still controlled by his witchcraft, destined to quickly forget everything I do. So why resist? I might as well do it and put everything out of my mind.

I watched his face flash with calculating brilliance, mixed with a hint of conflicted helplessness.

His hand gently wrapped around my head, placing me against his chest, murmuring: “Hui’er, you must fall in love with Cang Lian, you must love him without hesitation, or you’ll be doomed. Understand?” His determined body clearly trembled slightly, and his voice carried a fear of facing something.

“Yes, brother!” I called out “brother” especially clearly, packed with a million emotions, using all of my feelings.
