I looked at her face, which was exactly the same as mine, with a sense of disgust. Every time I saw her, I found it incredibly strange. I couldn’t understand why that beautiful face always wore an expression of arrogance. If not for her cold, ruthless eyes filled with possessiveness, I might not even be able to distinguish which of us was the true Ran Yan’er.
“Ran Yan’er, haven’t you slept long enough? Do you think by losing your autonomy, you can escape our transaction?” Her face was filled with mockery and disdain.
I stared blankly at this familiar face, unable to comprehend how someone with such beauty could have such a heart.
“I never agreed to any transaction, let alone completing one. Everything has been your one-sided narrative. I am not your puppet, and I won’t do whatever you want!” I said coldly, my disgust for her growing.
I no longer wanted to argue with this unreasonable person. After saying those words, I turned and ran towards the faint light behind me, wanting only to escape her entanglement.
But in this dark circle, it seemed impossible to get out. No matter where I went, I could always see that face identical to my own.
That eerily beautiful face made the chill in my heart rise and spread continuously whenever I looked at her.
“You’re using my body, my identity. Do you think I’ll let you go so easily? Since you’ve replaced everything about me, you must complete everything I want to do,” her voice became increasingly sharp, filled with resentment and unwillingness.
“If you like this body so much, take it back!” I said lazily.
I once thought I would live well here and might find my own refuge. But the current situation was worse than I could have imagined. Since this place doesn’t belong to me, I have no reason to stay.
