The Mysterious Bride of the Wind God

“Anywhere, as long as you’re not there. Ye Fangfeng, I’ll let you go this time. It’s best if we never see each other again. If fate can’t be escaped, I won’t give up halfway like today.” His sad and helpless smile was the last impression he left on his sister.

Although she had looked for him, she was truly afraid to see him. What if he hadn’t given up? What if his last words were true? The day of reunion might be the day one of them would be destroyed. She feared such a fate.

Chapter Three

Ye Fangfeng woke up to find herself sitting in a car. Without much thought, she knew the man beside her was Feng Jianya—her brother, Ye Wufeng.

“You’re awake.” His tone was calm. “Do you want a cigarette?” He handed her a pack of cigarettes.

“I don’t smoke.” She stared at the glass in front of her. “I want to go back.” She pushed the car door, but it didn’t move.

“After four years apart, you’re so cold. No matter what, in this world, we are the closest people to each other.” He started the car. “Give me a chance.”

“Wufeng—”

“Call me Jianya. I’ve buried my past.”

“But you can’t bury the fact that you’re my brother.” She said sharply.

“Uh—” Jianya slammed on the brakes. He turned his head, his eyes flashing with cold light. “Ye Fangfeng, after the concert, I’m going back to Japan.”

She had just thought to herself, “Thank heavens,” when he immediately continued, “You’re coming with me. I won’t abandon you like last time; you shouldn’t have forgotten what I said four years ago.”

“I won’t go with you. Let’s pretend we didn’t see each other today, that nothing happened.”

“Impossible! You think I’ll let you go?” The ruthless brother she didn’t know four years ago was now quite domineering towards her.

“You’re making things very difficult for me.”

“I’ve already decided.” He wouldn’t allow her to object.

“Stop acting like you’re in charge. I’m your sister!” She was furious.

“I don’t care if you’re my sister or brother; Feng Jianya always gets what he wants.” He started the car again. “You can’t escape!”
