“I told you not to wait for me.” Ya was distressed. “What if you caught a cold?” He took off his coat and draped it over her.
“You silly melon, I’m in great shape.” Fangfeng laughed, but her smile froze on her face after just a second. There was a heavy scent of perfume on his coat, and on his shirt, right at the chest, there were two fresh lipstick marks. “You are indeed hardworking!” She threw the coat away and stormed upstairs in a huff.
“Sister!” He grabbed her hand. “Are you jealous?”
Her face flushed red, her anger was truly inexplicable. “Stop daydreaming! Jealous of what? I’m worried you might get sick from fooling around like this.” She shook off his hand.
“You’re right.” Ya laughed at himself. “Thanks for your concern. If,” he watched her go upstairs, “the one I love doesn’t want me, I’m willing to be lovesick for life.”
“What are you babbling about?” Fangfeng, hearing a noise behind her, stopped.
“I said, sister, you should keep your long hair. I can afford the water bill and the shampoo.”
She let out a “pfft” laugh, her face radiant with sunshine, and his heart followed suit with joy.
“We’ll talk about it later.” She turned her head, adding, “You did a great job playing Beicun Youshi!”
She liked it! Beicun Youshi was also his favorite role. He only treated her as Fangfeng to have such deep feelings.
Would this feeling be buried deep in his heart forever, never to be realized? He told himself not to expect anything in return; he just wanted to be with her, and that was enough. But God bore witness, he had endured so much.
Chapter Six
The magazine B&P interviewed Fengjian Ya. Ya was wearing a light yellow sweater, his long hair loosely tied up, looking very handsome.
“Fengjian Ya, how long until your new song is released to the fans?”
“Two weeks.” Ya leaned against the sofa.
“Did you write the lyrics and compose the music yourself?”
“Yes.” He raised an eyebrow. By the way, what was Fangfeng doing?
“Ya, every time you write lyrics, it feels like it’s for someone special. Is there really such a person?”
He smiled slightly. “She’s the love of my dreams.”
