Even the most patient person would go crazy dealing with him. I suppressed my urge to explode and glared at him: “Please, are you done? I’ve already said I’m not interested in you. Are you deaf or what?”
“Why?” Wei Chi persisted: “Isn’t the young master good enough for you?”
I rolled my eyes in exasperation, too lazy to answer. “Young master, the lady’s porridge is ready!”
Just then, a maid knocked on the door.
Wei Chi immediately changed his expression and turned around, calmly instructing: “Bring it in! Carefully serve the young lady’s meal!”
The maid placed the tray on the bed’s edge, and I almost fainted when I saw it. A bowl of plain porridge with a small dish of dried radish – and he claims he’s not charging me!
The maid carefully asked, “Miss, would you like to eat by yourself or have me feed you?”
I simply replied, “No need!”
I had to explain patiently: “I mean, take the porridge away. I don’t want to eat it!”
Wei Chi looked at me with an interrogating tone: “Didn’t you say you were hungry?” I was hungry, but there’s a saying that a principled person doesn’t eat charity food, even if I’m supposed to pay for this…
I didn’t even lift my eyelids, answering impatiently: “How can anyone eat something like this? If you want to eat it, you eat it. I won’t!”
Wei Chi stared at me for a moment, then helplessly waved at the maid: “You can go now.” After the maid reached the door, he added, “Go to the kitchen and prepare a bowl of bird’s nest porridge.”
Oh yeah, now that’s more like it!
…
I’m still a bit… well, you know.
Suddenly, a clear male voice rang from outside: “Am I hearing this right? Who’s so lucky to make my big brother actually serve bird’s nest porridge?”
Strange, this voice sounds familiar.
I blinked, looking directly at the door, and soon saw a white-clad figure enter, with a smile as warm as the rising sun, but those clear features seemed strangely familiar!
Ah! I remembered – isn’t this one of the three handsome men I met on the street yesterday?
Wow, what a small world!
