“…quickly spread out the search…” “Damn, can he survive falling from that height…” “Grab him, damn it!…”
The city lights were bright in the distance, but the wind at the cliff was bone-chillingly cold. Barking dogs and soldiers’ curses echoed in the black night, countless flashlights sweeping back and forth.
Suddenly someone shouted: “There!” Si Nan, covered in blood, crawled out from the cliff’s bushes, stumbling forward a few steps before being pounced on by several military dogs.
“Got him, quick—” “Bite him, teach him a lesson!”
Who am I? Where am I? What is this place?
All pain and struggle blurred in the chaos, and he suddenly found himself very small, with small hands and feet, unable to push away the ferocious dogs.
Piercing laughter, glaring flashlights, the hot breath of beasts, the cold and damp grass; countless bizarre scenes turned into blades in the void, viciously cutting through the brain’s central nervous system until blood flowed. The last thread of human consciousness snapped. Hatred burned blood into his pupils, and in the moment before falling into darkness, he only heard a roar from his throat that didn’t sound human at all.
“Four military dogs and two soldiers killed in the line of duty, six injured, two critically…” Si Nan opened his eyes in a pale white laboratory.
The hexagonal space was filled with mirrored walls. He raised his head, and countless familiar yet young faces looked back at him from all directions. Bloody bandages were messily wrapped around his black hair, and he was tied to a chair resembling a dentist’s chair with handcuffs and several electrical wires.
“Electrocution,” someone said coldly.
Unexpectedly, electricity suddenly crawled over his body, and Si Nan let out a miserable scream, his small body violently shaking, then struggling desperately! The electric shock ended after a few seconds.
Little Si Nan continued to twitch, painfully opening his eyes to see the laboratory mirror in front of him change, revealing several experimenters wearing white masks: “What is your name?”
“…” Si Nan panted heavily, gritting his teeth.
The electric shock stopped, and Si Nan’s entire body convulsed, his vision blurry, the pain’s aftermath leaving him disoriented for a long time before slowly seeing the surrounding scene.
The experimenters appeared on the screen, coldly watching him: “What is your name?”
