The Undead

Tang Hao interrupted him: “No, no need to say. Everyone has unlucky moments.”

Yan Hao was stunned by his understanding. The next second, Tang Hao suddenly laughed and swiftly pulled out a spy’s micro camera—

Tang Hao ran away, and Yan Hao roared: “Come back!”

Half an hour later, Yan Hao finally ran around the rocky beach, panting and leaning on his knees. Tang Hao stopped, throwing the camera into his tactical bag and clapping: “Everyone gather and count off!”

Team members from various parts of the mountain gradually converged on the open ground. Tang Hao suddenly felt something was wrong. After having everyone line up and count off, he discovered something was amiss—four people were missing.

How could they be missing? Did something go wrong during the parachute jump?

The canyon’s parachute jump was already high-risk, with numerous zombies nearby. An accident would be understandable. But four special forces soldiers had disappeared without a sound, which seemed very suspicious.

Tang Hao pondered for a moment, looking up. The narrow sky above the canyon was getting darker, almost 6 PM.

Once night fell, hordes of zombies would become very dangerous for them.

“They might be temporarily lost. We can’t wait here,” Tang Hao said thoughtfully. “Let’s enter the search area, find a sheltered spot to set up camp, arrange night watch shifts, and conduct a thorough search early tomorrow.”

Everyone responded collectively and began to move.

General Zheng frowned. “Four people are missing?”

General Zheng turned back. “They might be lost or sacrificed.”

Before Director Zheng could comment, Tang Hao’s roar came through the phone: “Zhou—Rong! Please stay in the rear and don’t butt in. Thank your whole family!”

General Zheng hurriedly covered the receiver, but unexpectedly, Zhou Rong responded: “Sorry, Team Leader Tang. I’m now the remote combat advisor for the Black Hawk team and have the right to inquire about the latest front-line reports.”

“What?” Tang Hao shouted. “Combat advisor? You?”

General Zheng covered both the receiver and microphone, finally overwhelmed.

“Colonel Zhou was appointed as a remote guide due to his extensive small group operation experience,” Director Zheng said sternly into the phone. “Enough! Stop protesting, Team Leader Tang! Maintain alert and report your movement direction at all times.”

General Zheng hung up the phone with a slap, finally sighing in relief.
