The Villain’s Daughter is Four and a Half

“Brother, brother—” Jiang Ruyi waved happily, her eyes shining with excitement, looking utterly adorable. Were they waiting for him? And welcoming him so warmly? Zhou Linchuan was delighted and quickly walked over to scoop her into his arms, “Little Ruyi, were you waiting for brother?” “Yeah, big brother is too slow. I’m tired of waiting,” said Ru Yi. “Sorry. I’ll come back earlier next time,” her brother replied, entering the password to unlock the door without avoiding the father and daughter. The three walked in; the interior was spacious and bright, lavishly decorated, even more luxurious than the Jiang family’s home. Ru Yi struggled free from his embrace and began hopping around excitedly: “Wow, this place is so beautiful!” Lin Chuan Zhou smiled silently and fetched yogurt and pastries from the fridge for her. Ru Yi thanked him and sat on the sofa, happily eating her snacks and chatting: “Did big brother just get off work?” “Yes.” “Big brother works so hard.” “Seeing little Ru Yi, all my tiredness vanishes.” This was truly sweet to hear. Ru Yi laughed cheerfully, “Do I have healing powers?” Lin Chuan Zhou ruffled her hair with a smile.

Bo Yuan Jiang watched them, their bond almost like father and daughter, feeling a pang of sadness. Since when had his daughter become so attached to him? Had he been neglecting her too much? Lin Chuan Zhou noticed Bo Yuan’s constant gaze and spoke up with a laugh, “Mr. Jiang, have you heard anything about Miss Xu?” Bo Yuan furrowed his brows: “It’s not Miss Xu, it’s Mrs. Jiang.” Was this man no longer hiding his feelings? Lin Chuan Zhou realized his mistake and chuckled, “Oh, Mrs. Jiang. I just can’t see her as a wife. She’s too young and beautiful, looks like she’s 18.” It was true; Xu Xiang Ying was 28 this year but looked like an 18-year-old, remarkably well-preserved.
