Chapter 1
The name of Nate Biotechnology Company might not be particularly famous, but when it comes to Taiwan Trade Group and Eternal Memorial Hospital, everyone knows about them.
Eternal Memorial Hospital is currently the largest private medical center in the country, distributed across three major cities in the north, central, and south regions. Taiwan Trade Group started with the plastics industry and, after more than forty years of robust growth, has extended its reach to specialty chemicals, chemical fibers, petrochemical products, with its subsidiaries continuously developing and expanding.
Nate Biotechnology Company is a subsidiary of Taiwan Trade Group, managed by Ke Minfu’s third grandson, Ke Nanyu, with business covering pharmaceutical industries, health products, agricultural biotechnology, environmental biotechnology, and specialty chemical research and development.
Due to its nature, Nate’s reputation is not as prominent as other Taiwan Trade subsidiaries, but its prospects are the most promising.
In the Taiwan Trade Group’s executive office, Nate Biotechnology’s president Ke Nanyu was conducting a routine briefing with just two people present.
“Nate will enter the amino acid raw material market starting in July. I hope to capture about 3% market share within five years.”
Ke Minfu nodded, saying approvingly, “What’s the annual demand for amino acid raw materials?”
“Around 6 billion US dollars,” Ke Nanyu casually replied while retrieving whiskey and glasses from a hidden cabinet.
“That’s quite substantial,” Ke Minfu sighed. “Guan Hua Group was indeed visionary, having recognized the mainland market three years ago and likely profited significantly.”
“Nate isn’t starting too late,” Ke Nanyu said confidently.
Although their capital was only 8 million, they had strong support from Eternal Memorial Hospital’s resources, Eternal University and Medical School’s clinical pathology research institute, and Taiwan Trade Group’s professional chemical research and development technologies.
“If we can snatch the 450 million contract from Guan Hua’s hands, we’ll have funding for the Wuhan factory,” he handed his grandfather an undiluted whiskey, smiling.
Ke Minfu swirled his glass, thoughtfully saying, “That won’t be easy. Tang Keqin from Guan Hua isn’t a pushover. You’ll need to work hard to take the contract from him.”
“I know,” Ke Nanyu said confidently. “I’ve already won over three senior executives from Datong Pharmaceuticals. I believe this will be very helpful to us!”
In this era, money could solve most problems.
