Rosalia paused, then took out a bone whistle from her sleeve and blew it forcefully. Rosalia’s suite connected to a second-floor balcony, and she pushed past the screaming maids, running desperately towards it, her skirt billowing like an about-to-bloom flower. Nelly was surrounded by three masked men and was at a disadvantage in terms of stamina, finding herself struggling. She used three skills and finally found an escape gap, leaping and sprinting in the opposite direction of Rosalia.
The masked men hesitated, unable to decide whether to stop the princess or continue pursuing the hero. In this moment of delay, Rosalia had already climbed onto the balcony stone railing, looking down, her fists clenched, calling out: “I’m coming down!”
Urgent hoof sounds approached from a distance, followed by the sound of horses being reined in. Rosalia smiled brilliantly and leaped down. Nelly ran out of the tower, jumped onto a low wall, and saw a black-cloaked figure embracing Rosalia galloping towards the side gate. The sudden event caught the guards completely off guard. By the time they thought to shout “Lower the drawbridge!”, the black-cloaked knight had already disappeared.
Feeling slightly relieved, Nelly heard the wind behind her again. Without turning back, she nimbly somersaulted twice, using the momentum to reach the top of the middle courtyard building connected to the low wall. The masked men couldn’t immediately pursue, and could only call for archer reinforcements. Nelly was not originally familiar with the Red Castle’s terrain but having just received Rosalia’s topographic map, a small map appeared in her top right field of view, guiding her to flee through the complex court interior. Now that she had broken with Clovi, all Nelly could do was quickly find Pippin, someone even the king dared not directly move against.
The court official lived in the Official’s Tower on the south side, and she needed to find a way to get there as soon as possible. The pursuit of the assassins gave Nelly a headache. Avoiding the incoming arrow rain, Nelly hid in the cellar entrance at the edge of the courtyard, concealing herself in the cave’s shadows. But as her pursuers were about to search nearby, with an iron door behind her locked with three locks, she suddenly had nowhere to hide and could only prepare to fight head-on.
“Search near this wall quickly!”
