The Yandere Demon King’s Obsession 3

Nelly stared at the porcelain bowl, and only after the owner left did she finally burst out laughing. Karl indulgently let her laugh her fill before softly saying, “Eat the wontons before the skin gets soggy.”

They first took care of their hunger, then chatted casually.

“Ah… so the troublesome classmate you mentioned is a female classmate,” Nelly stirred the green onions in her soup with a spoon, giving Karl a half-smile.

Karl raised his delicate eyebrows helplessly: “Although I’d be happy if you were jealous, but…”

Nelly stopped him with a look, then changed her tone: “I’ve seriously considered how we’ll move forward together.”

Karl’s expression also became serious. He focused on her with such a solemn attitude that she found it both touching and slightly amusing, causing her to playfully tap his forehead: “It’s not a serious matter.”

“I’ve also seriously considered it,” Karl’s features softened slightly, “Although I have an identity in this world, to truly gain recognition, especially from your family, there are still many obstacles.”

Nelly tilted her head: “Well…” She had indeed thought about this issue.

“And you want to become a doctor, so you’ll definitely be very busy in the future,” he saw Nelly’s slightly dimming expression and shook his head, “I’m not opposed, but this must be taken into account. So I might seek a relatively relaxed teaching position.”

Nelly curved her lips: “Ah, it’s hard to imagine.”

Karl helplessly traced the corner of his eye: “But this is just a hypothesis, no rush.” He smiled, looking confident and self-assured. Something in Nelly’s heart was touched, and she also smiled calmly.

They turned to look outside the shop, where a professionally dressed woman walked beside her husband pushing a bicycle. She had shed her professional demeanor, looking gentle, chatting casually with her husband who had bought groceries. The soft light fell on them, their elongated shadows warm.

Nelly placed her hand on Karl’s hand, softly saying: “No rush, we have a lot of time ahead.”

“We have a lot of time,” Karl gazed back with a smile, “and in this world, we can do anything.”
